In Her Shoes Reviews
I love this movie...highlighting the complexities of youth and the sister relationship, this picture was a beautiful work of art, combining personal growth and the difficult lessons one must learn to bring attention to self serving behavior, the consequences of said behavior and the desire to change. The acting was superb and emotional with plenty of good laughs along the way. Truly a treasure with a touching poem that you will never forget. A must see!
One of the beautiful movies ever💖
Great easy watch. Not a romcom but a lovely story about family
Even though the story may be kind of predictable, the plot did manage to surprise here and there and overall the movie just was entertaining and a perfect feel-good-movie for a sunday evening (without being too shallow). Also the cast was great, especially Shirley MacLaine!
Touching, compelling and funny film with great performances by Diaz, Colette and especially Shirley Maclaine.
I have nothing bad to really say other than it’s not my type of movie . The actors and story were all fine enough that I get the ratings from the critics 2.6
it's really drawn out and wasn't funny and I didn't find the characters likable. i made it through 40 min of it and was too bored to continue. not what i expected from this cast, but i think the script's the main problem
While thinking about my favorite movies, this movie that I haven't seen in years flooded into my memory. The genius of this movie is the intersection of sisterly, family, friend, and romantic love. How they are all imperfect but precious. It's fun but will also make you cry. You will fall in love with Cameron and Toni. Transition into the Holiday or Little Miss Sunshine for the perfect movie night. We miss you Cameron!
Family Problems and Sisters Problems !
it does fit well on what introducts to me: comedy, romance, and drama. and shows a family story in the best pathways it could choose to shows for everybody who's watching it. cameron diaz has never been better. won't forget sooner.
It is the tale of two films, the first half an hour or so is unwatchable the rest is great.
Beautiful. I cried with this movie...It seems light comedy but it's pure life drama...real people, flawed people who find their way in life and with each other.
Sister, Sister - Only you know. This is worth hanging in there for, as two stereotype lost soul sisters help remind each other the real pain that set them back but bound them together - no matter what. And Grandma Ella. The soul sister keeper, who kept them all honest, including herself. Evolution of the soul, in the family, the best kind of growth! Superb acting all around. Bravo!
In Her Shoes is another lunch-hour movie. I am in awe of Toni Collette's performance as a hard working lawyer that is struggling for romance. Cameron Diaz, on the other hand, I thought could bring a bit more to the table. I feel that she mostly plays a struggling alcoholic-sex crazed maniac most of the time (Bad Teacher, The Other Woman). I absolutely loved Shirley MacLaine as a dramatic actress and would like to see more of her throughout the film. In Her Shoes needs to cut down the run time and switch out Cameron Diaz.
Not a movie to remember by any means. The plot to seemed to have a confusing time jump that left me with so many questions. That being said, I enjoyed watching Cameron Diaz' character grow from who she was at the beginning and the final scene was very touching. Is it just me or did any one else think Maggie was going to get hit by that car behind her in the final scene? (probably just me..)
In her shows is a waste of time. It is unoriginal, boring, bad acted, the story is formulaic and it doesn't bring anything you hadn't see before in your tv.

a feel-good story. Unrealistic, unpleasant .. & mostly, just unrealistic all round, in all the relationships.
