Interceptor Reviews
A Die Hard clone set inside a top-secret military installation that’s the last line of defense against Russian nuclear aggression, high-octane actioner Interceptor is a waste of time.

Interceptor is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad movie. It’s as dull as watching Eisteddfod while sober and as nuanced as a pantomime populated with ex-Neighbours stars.

Please, please do not waste your time.

Parts of it are laughably silly, but that’s intentional. It’s not quite a satire, having some Serious Things to say, but mostly it’s a romp. A high-energy, breathless, American-market action thriller with up-to-date politics.

It’s fine. It gets the job done ... but Chuck Norris would have had more fun with it.

Beattie... is a touch above the hired hack that usually scripts guff like this and there are brief nuggets of substance.

Say you did not click “play” in hopes of a gripping plot, fleshed-out characters and a decent twist. Fine. But you’ll also be disappointed with the action sequences.

You might not mind an apocalypse if it meant a change of scenery.

As preposterous as it is entertaining.
