this movie was buns. it doesnt even deserve a singular star. this is not the craig i know and love, and its supposwdly supposed to be based off the book but they couldnt even get the way he looks correct. smh

Cute story involving mental health and relationships. Of course it isn’t completely realistic, but even then it touches small parts of what mental illness is.

As someone who suffers with mental health disorders this film ticks all the right boxes for me a real good feel good films one of my all Time favourites.

I seriously enjoyed this movie. It had a great balance of being funny yet serious and through all the craziness about it, it was a feel good movie.

It was alright to be honest there was much insane moments or anything.

I was pleasantly surprised. Quite a delightful bit of storytelling. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it.

A nice little movie to pass the time

Great acting, I love it.

I have been admitted in psych hospitals and honestly, this is the closest it has come to the reality. (From the films, I have seen.) And yet, it is shallow and unreasonable. The protagonist stays 5 days and has an entire new outlook on life? People who sick enough to be admitted, aren't so easily "healed." It's a sweet teen angst film but nothing more. Mental illness is thrown around like tictacs as if it isn't "that bad." The severity of suicide is watered down to something people do whenever they fail a test. Shallow and a bad depiction of the real world. Haven't read the book. Hope it is better.

Enjoyable story, a few funny moments. Some unusual unexpected scenes that's for sure...

It was a quite touching comedy, a simple story with whom we can relate to it. For simple evening it was quite ok

i thought it started off shaky but ended on a pretty high note; it's a cute feel-good story. i'm not sad i watched it.

even thought it's kind of a "what the point?" movie i think it was really good. after watching i couldn't stop thinking about it

Accepting being normal.

"Its Kind of a Funny Story" is cliched, but enjoyable to watch. Angsty teen can take it, goes to nut house, meets lots of 'interesting' and colorful folks including the 'wise but disturbed mentor', the 'crazy roommate', and of course, the 'disturbed girl who likes to cut, but is super hot'. The ending is a bit Hollywood too. There are of course better flicks, even about this topic, but this is well done enough for a fun watch, and the main character does a good job. Even Zach Galifianakis, who does his usual bumbling but lovable idiot thing, isn't too painful to watch here.
