Juice Reviews
A fantastic 90's crime thriller featuring a brilliant performance by Tupac makes this generational masterpiece a must watch!
Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é mais ou menos, o filme tentou trazer esse negócio hood para uma cidade grande, que não deu muito certo, mas poucas partes foram boas, o final que o cara estava na pinta do telhado e morreu só isso de interessante.
This is my #1 favorite movie of all time. It's got everything I want in a film, it's funny, suspenseful, exciting and shocking all at once. Yes the story as a whole is pretty straightforward and it's not the most complex thing ever, AND most people might just over look it as just another "90s hood movie", but either way I love it for it's simplicity and how grounded it is, you can feel each line of dialogue from the actors. That's why this movie will always be my #1.
I absolutely love this movie, i love the mix between crime/thriller it works perfectly, I love how Bishop went from a mostly normal guy to a complete psycho who didn't care about the consequences, Tupac Shakur played Bishop brilliantly, I would highly recommend this film, it is definitely Tupac's best film.
instant Classic, a Beyond Authentic Portrayal of being a Troubled Teen Living in Harlem New York City back in the 1990's, the Movie shows Us that We as Human Beings can't Trust Nobody because anybody can Turn on you in Heartbeat
This movie is my childhood one the best hood movies off all time this movie really kicked off the hood movie genre 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Its started 30 minutes later than it was supposed to sp
Great music & acting. The plot seemed to gain speed as it went. How sad seeing young men making bad choices.
Juice is good film about young guys that don't know what they like to do so they test them selfs and they drift to wrong path with big consequences!
This movie captures the culture of the time the battle DJing, the drugs, the gangs, the WACK AF clothing. Just everything. Of course, Tupac is being the thug that's in him and it's a great story of someone hungry for power because his life is destitute of love and meaning otherwise, a typical reason men and women go crazy for power and their dreams. Sure it's dated and gets old if you watch it too much but it just captures life and meaning
Ernest Dickerson directs Omar Epps and the late rapper Tupac A street drama about four Harlem teens whose lives spiral out of control after they hold up a bodega — in the early '80s Four Harlem friends -- Bishop (Tupac Shakur), Q (Omar Epps), Steel (Jermaine Hopkins) and Raheem (Khalil Kain) -- dabble in petty crime, but they decide to go big by knocking off a convenience store Bishop, the magnetic leader of the group, has the gun But Q has different aspirations; wants to be a DJ and happens to have a gig the night of the robbery Unfortunately for him, Bishop isn't willing to take no for answer in a game where everything's for keeps Now it's a tough choice between getting the big score or following his dreams These young men are tired of harassment by the police and a local Puerto Rican gang — so they figure to strike back is to conspire to win respect on the streets, or "juice," by robbing a corner store Everyone wants "juice" but certain choices are made to earn it Crime, poverty, music, and being criminalized in a tight community are present in this drama It has an effective social message too with some psychological profile Some inner city hopelessness still exists even if the system catches up A slick soundtrack with some good performances by this all African-American cast sheds light on this tough journey in a rough setting
A gritty real to life street drama about the reality of big city living during a turbulent time, featuring none other than Tupac. While the acting in some places seems lacking and begging for more emotion, Tupac does give an amazing performance on the big screen as a heartless thug whose soul purpose is to get rich or die trying by any means. With an exciting climax and perfectly played ending, Juice gives us a raw emotional performance by not only Tupac but Omar as well.
Tupac Shakur at his finest. Gritty, intense, emotional & violent.
Love this movie!! It is a classic that teaches a life lesson of trust that can't be matched...the parts were very well cast and the movie was very well made. It is one of my favorite old hood movies and would highly recommend to any and everyone.
Although Juice takes place during the 90's it still does a great job of showing how mental illness can affect people and the people in their lives. I love this movie because it is so timeless. No matter how much the times may change this movie will always provide a valuable lesson that people can connect to. Juice is a very relatable movie since it touches on mental illnesses that people live with every day and for that reason alone I think it deserves five stars. Mental illness was a very taboo subject especially back in the 90's so I think it's great that the movie was able to shed some light on the subject. I would 100 percent recommend this movie.
This movie is great learning for this young kid that don't know the streets and the hard life. This shows you how a friend can be one day with you and the next your enemy. These days everybody wants to become a rapper or a gang banger but the sad part is that a lot of the time the streets only can bring you two places hospital or a cemetery. Another thing I like about this movie is the ending it leaves you with suspense like you want a part two.
I love this movie such a classic if you are into that old-school 90s vibe. Juice does a great job portraying the sad truth of mental illness and how it affects you and the people around you. What makes a movie different from others for me is when you can relate to a character in the movie. Seeing that other people go through mental illness just like me makes it a lot easier for me to cope. I also think the cast was picked perfectly because the actors and who they play go together great. Overall would recommend watching Juice.
