Saw this on one of those “movies that are disturbing” posts from Instagram. It’s that guy who thinks every movie is “challenging” but he made it sound interesting so I gave it a shot. It’s awful. 100%. It’s difficult to watch because it’s so horribly made, not because it touches on some edgy aspect of culture. The most disturbing part about it is being reminded how dumb Americans have become. You want to be disturbed? Watch the news. Americans picked the loudest, dumbest guy in the whole room to be in charge and he’s crashing the country in less than a month Is this movie challenging or hard to absorb? No, it’s just bad. Created by the worst generation with the worst tastes who are so spoiled they beleive “challenging” is making a video of a robbery.

Visually inventive. Reflective of the kind of bizarre GenZ montages you might see on YouTube but not without depth. An interesting critique of the influencer and YouTube Star era. Also, I think bulimia is an apt metaphor for social media users as a group.

Cannot recall a worse movie. Some as bad, but none worse. Absolute garbage. ZERO very emphatic stars.

Going into this I think I am either going to think it's great or hate it, I do not expect there to be any middle ground for this for me. I think it's a great commentary on the current state of the youth in America and their relationship with the internet and the precedent they are creating with it. People who rated this low don't know what they are talking about or doing. This is a good MOVIE. 4 of 5

Superb editing and visually stimulating, but is it enough to save this movie from its terrible script full of cringe inducing dialogue and it's mindless plot? This movie is frustrating. I want to like it so bad, hell, I want to love it. Visually it is incredible; something in between Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers and Mandy. But, beyond it's visual appeal lies a landscape bland and baron. We don't come to know anything about these characters, and therefore their motives are elusive at best. The dialogue is nonsensical as is the plot. The music and sound design doesn't match up with its incredible visuals. And, because of all this the movie ultimately falls short of how great it COULD be. Like Me is worth a watch, especially for fans of the cerebral. But, it will leave you wanting.

LIKE ME is one of the weirdest and coolest movies I've seen lately. The performance of Addison Timlin. The cult catalog. I recommend it.

The movie was amazing, the visual effects and the analogy. It reflects the youth of this era

Explores the influence of social media in a non-obvious way, however it still doesn't feel original in it's ideas.

Wish I could give it zero. Movie has no plot, acting is horrible and editing is all over the place. I know edgy movies and this is not it! Screw the Critics.

A hypnotic, psychedelic acid trip for the eyes, Like Me is a visually striking endeavor from first time writer/director Robert Mockler. - Full review on Nightmarish Conjurings

Waste of time! Its like a movie on Acid tripping! Really can’t beleive people rated anything better than half a star.

If you don't flinch when Nic Winding Refn or Gaspar Noe turn up the neon, then you'll appreciate (and perhaps adore) this acid trip of a film.

The main character is interesting but I don't feel like I ever figure her out. She's clearly has a desire to be... well... liked and goes about fulfilling this need at the expense of others. In our opening scene she holds up a gas station with a fake gun. The video goes viral BUT now she has a rival criticizing what she's done. Up to this point I was riveted. She then does what turns out to be a good deed but her patsy (a homeless man) leaves while she's in the bathroom. From there she devolves into kidnapping and then the movie just gets disturbing the rest of the way and completely lost me. The ending only made me dislike the movie more. I understand what the goal was but feel like it missed the mark. This movie is definitely not for the casual movie-goer.
