Lilo & Stitch Reviews
It's a Disney film that finds an acceptable tone with its traditional animation style, but unfortunately often treads on familiar clichés that take away the charm of its tropical fable about sisterhood, family, and aliens. [Full review in Spanish]

There is no doubt that Lilo & Stitch is a masterpiece. With some of the best character work ever seen in animation, a fantastic cast, and a real emotional core, the film is everything one could want in a film.

Beneath its absurdity, Lilo & Stitch captures what it feels like to yearn for belonging and to struggle to be understood.

One of the most insanely creative things Disney has ever put out, hand-stitched with so much love that it’s nearly bursting at the seams.

Like Nani and Lilo, this movie is obviously not perfect. In fact, it can be dysfunctional at times. However, its heart is true and has a strong genuine feeling that it cares about family, and that’s what makes this a beloved fan-favorite.

...a great moral, fun gags, and a slew of Elvis songs to keep the mood sky high from soup to nuts...

Overall, at 18 years old, 'Lilo & Stitch' is still an underrated Disney film that deserves more attention.

It is not only refreshing to see a little girl in a Disney movie, but a unique little girl.

Ohana means family, and family in this fun and feisty 2002 animated Disney feature means a little Hawaiian girl, her caretaker sister, the sister's boyfriend, and a mutated monster of an alien that little Lilo adopts, thinking he's a dog.

Cute story, great characters, fabulous soundtrack.

It is the sweetest Disney movie of its generation; but the lengthy beginning and somewhat shorter climax drag it down at the worst possible points.
| Original Score: 8/10 | Dec 9, 2009
Smart, poignant, and utterly beguiling.

This is a very disappointing effort from Disney.

...an affable but hopelessly uneven fantasy...
| Original Score: 2.5/4 | Mar 26, 2009
It's a bright, engaging bauble with half a dozen Elvis Presley songs for Mom and Dad, and just enough sass -- Stitch sticks his tongue into his nose and eats his snot -- to keep the tweeners giggling.

It's funny, it's sad and, frankly, it's a bit weird.

Regrettably, towards the end the film veers off into a mess of weird aliens and Cartoon Network silliness.

Easily one of the strangest products to ever emerge from the Disney animation pipeline.

The movie does manage to tug at your heartstrings with its themes of loneliness and finding a place to fit in, but it does it without ever rising too high on the sap-o-meter.
