Locked Reviews
Somebody had to do it! How they got Hannibal Lecter out of retirement I don't know.
It was exciting all through the movie even though it was like a one-man show + voice acting. Kept me interested the whole time. Not re-watchable though.
I was really enjoying the movie, but the ending made me regret it. I never rate movies. I felt I had to rate this one out of sheer disappointment.
Not a very well thought out plot. I thought it was kinda dumb and just not good in any aspect.
Didn’t even finish it
The story is so what? The acting is efficient but so what? The end result is relief that it's over, not from any tension in the movie but so you can read a book, go for a walk, stare at the ceiling, anything else that offers better entertainment.
A awesome movie. This movie should have came out a long time ago. When they was hijacking a lot of cars back in the days. Anybody who likes to still cars should watch this movie.
Utterly gripping! it seizes your attention from the start. It evokes Phone Booth 2002, but with an added layer of class tension. At its core, the film is about "locked": the thief is physically locked up, while the SUV owner is figuratively locked. It challenges conventional ideas of justice: highlighting failure of retribution in the hands of the state. Thievery is dissected across social strata, asking us to consider: who is the real criminal; the street thief or the corporate one?
Truly underrated, confirming that so many people want action garbage. Though basically a remake of Argentinian film 4x4, Locked is one of the better psychological thrillers in recent years. Bill Skarsgård is a perfect cast and really convinces, while the a bit too obvious but ever lasting Anthony Hopkins is best as a voice.
A fantastic movie that all criminals should be forced to watch (since making them actually experience the movie is too expensive). William is 100% correct when he says that if its ok for the scum to break the social contract then we should be able to as well. Until all of the bleeding heart DA's stop letting criminals off with minimal consequences then this movie will remain a pleasant fantasy for the normal people that actually abide by the social contract.
When you step into a Dolus, you may never step out. Of course, a logophile might be equipped enough not to try. And that's as about as smart as this movie gets. Otherwise, it unimaginatively echos previous psychopathic puppeteering movies like Phone Booth & the equally cramped car thriller Retribution.
Got a bit long in the tooth even though it is a short movie.
Gripped from the start to the beginning.... MUST WATCH
On the edge of my seat good from beginning to end!
payback to the scum is what drives the scum into redemption. both guys were very good and nearly perfect in their motives. good and correct ending. watch this.
Gets a perfect score due to the unpredictable, mostly original plot and the excellent acting from the two main characters. If the viewer suspends their disbelief, then they are taken along on a thrill-ride, with social commentary elements added to the mix. I would like to see a sequel.
Well it sure was a different kind of film. An old doctor riggs up his car and teaches a car jacker a lesson. I enjoyed it, and some of you will not.
Pretty cool, I liked it.
Very intense Film but lacked most the time!
Really the only two actors are two of the best to ever do it, so how did it go so terribly wrong? Even with its short run time, it is far too long.
