The Love Guru Reviews
Not funny at all Mike myers looks stupid with a beard and there is even a scene where when he speaks to Ben Kingsley ( the sen say?? WT ) he is in a little kids body and his head is too big for it soo stupid, the imagery and cinematography lighting is bland, dull and lifeless having the equivalent of that lighting and production quality of the room, disaster movie and other unfunny comedies like ones with Adam Sandler and rob shenider. Truly horrific, it’s beyond me how anyone would find this schlockfacular funny while it isn’t it’s the opposite and definetly deserves in the top worst comedies of all time.
Well, like some of the other reviews hint at: It’s not as funny as you’d expect a Mike Myers movie to be. It *is* funny for the most part, though—in a goofy, simplistic kind of way if you want to get analytical.
A Big Career Blow For a Once Respected Actor Mike Myers! And Boy this Film is The Battlefield Earth of Awful Films!! And it is Unfunny, Boring, and It’s as Worse as The Cat in the Hat!

Mike Myers film is too crass to provide any laughs.
Look, this obviously wasn't Mike Myers's best picture. But with Mike Myers, you know what you are getting with his humor and his larger-than-life cartoonish characters. Even though the Austin Powers films will always be Myers's best work, I thought "The Love Guru" wasn't half-bad for a comedy. It's fun, it's silly, it's a trademark Mike Myers film.
Don't listen to any bad comments. This is a true comedy classic. It's low brow humor but it's what we as the working class love. The critics don't know Jack about comedy. This is a masterpiece with almost every scene bearing jokes. 10/10.
A few funny scenes. Otherwise, a bust.
If you didn't like this movie, warning: I would bet good money you take life way too seriously. Pure hilarity, from start to finish.
One of the funniest movies out there, a Mike Myers classic. Some may say racist but give me a break. It's comedy, if you take it serious get outta here and just enjoy it.
The Love Guru is not only the worst movie of Michael Myers' career, this is easily one of the worst comedies ever made. It's shallow, it's crude, it's full of gross-out humor, and is one of the very few times I can actually say I was almost outright offended by it. The main character is not remotely likable, the plot completely idiotic and nonsensical, and 90 minutes of continuous farts would actually be an improvement from an intellectual standpoint.
Overall, the plot of this film is good, it wraps up nicely, and there are many gags that land. I'd say out of all the Meyers' films, this is one of the best written, but, it fails the parody in places. While it's obvious the makers had their ear to Hinduism and Buddhism, it's not as booby-trapped with those myths like a Mel Brooks or Monty Python spiritual comedy. Maybe they consulted eastern philosophers while making this, but, you can tell they didn't grow up in it like Kevin Smith did in his Catholic Dogma, because this film could be a lot more than it was. Jessica Alba is horrible in this, like she can barely contain the hatred for her own part while she smiles like Vaseline has been rubbed all over her teeth. She is a very successful business woman, and it is clear from this film that's the lane should drive in. Justin Timberlake can hang with super-jokers like Meyers, and he does a good enough job, but, he's like Wonderbread; the name makes you want to eat it, but, you realize it isn't particularly nutritious and is only created for its shelf life. Hindu and Buddhist myths are so wonderful, many times you can be creating something and turn to the myths and find it has already been created, and then you can toy with the two creations meeting again. I don't think that was done here, and they missed out by not studying their subjects more before filming.
Worth watching. Kinda weird but it has lots of laughs.
One of the funniest movies EVER! People that gave this movie a bad review are sad, and lonely individuals. ! Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake are pretty good and Meyers is his usual amazing self. Celebrity Gurus were in need of a takedown and this is it. I seriously don't get why people didn't like it. Compared with the politically correct tripe they serve now it's a masterpiece! Five out of five!
