Magic Mike's Last Dance Reviews
I fell asleep instead of grooving. Hope this would be definitely the last.
Simply put, this comes under the category of should have left well enough alone with 1 and 2. No chemistry between Selma and Channing. Not nearly as sexy as the others. Disappointing.
Wow. SOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. Bad everything. literally everything except Channing Tatum's sex appeal was bad.
Very disappointed that Mike didn’t incorporate Suavemente 😭
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. The second Magic Mike was meh so I wasn't expecting this one to be better than the first. The plot was unrealistic, but the dancing and sensual parts made it worth the watch.
okay so the movie is called last dance okay it was good but omg why werent the other boys in it at the end dancing with Channing as it would have been the perfect ending or even atleast some of the boys not just Channing. Im a so disappointed in this movie.
This is not a magic Mike movie this is a sad step up movie that's tripping on acid plus it has sucky music. The only thing that was good about it was the first part of the movie.
Very weird movie, ditches the grimy strip club aesthetic for a romantic theater production setting. There is really no plot or arc for Mike in this, and while the performances and dance sequences are good enough there is really just nothing here to latch onto.
Could this be more boring? Starts very strongly and then when they get to London it its all down hill. In comparison with the previous movie's this is bland, predictable and surprisingly unsexy. Switched off half way
This movie was horrible. It was definitely written by AI. I had to skip to the ending because there was no plot.
I feel that Selma H. character didn't do the movie any justice. It seems the movie focused on her being the center of attention yet she came across needed and indecisive. If you scan through most of the scenes with her character then the movie is okay.
Less nudity, and more feelings. I have enjoyed this last chapter of Magic Mike, a lot more than the second one! Really entertaining and positive!
Nothing like the first two movies. Amateurish, awkward, pointless drivel. Literally an infomercial for the live show spin-off. Frankly embarrassing
Malisima.
The first 15 minutes is what this franchise should be. But the plot & character motives are weak. Aspects are plugged in without effort. Yet the lighting, soundtrack, & choreography set a sexy tone.
Magic Mike's Last Dance, a belated threquel to the franchise is a choppy and odd film, especially coming from director Steven Soderbergh who should know better than trying, and not quite succeeding, in recreating the vibes of his more successful films, like the sensual sexiness of Out of Sight or an Oceans film where underdogs band together to overcome generic but random obstacles that stand in their way. Original screenwriter Reid Carolin is back but this is a totally different film and not for the better. His screenplay now sees Channing Tatum's Mike older and broke and bar-tending for Salma Hayek's rich divorcee Maxandra. A lap-dance later, Mike is whisked to London to reinvigorate a theatre her ex's family owns for a new show with gyrating bare-chested men to the objection of various stuffy social elitist family members. Random misplaced humour and fairly unsexy and underwhelming choreography aside, this essentially constitutes a 2hr ad for their London live show and I wouldn't have minded that if it wasn't so cliched and poorly written, and Tatum and Hayek feel so half-hearted, as if they know what a turkey they've landed themselves in. Lacking in both drama and magic, this fantasy romance is simply stale and boring.
The visuals were surprisingly quite good.
This franchise had so much going for it, they should have kept it at the first two and called it a day. Removing the key male characters and replacing them with a self-absorbed feminist portrayed by Salma Hayek was just completely unnecessary. I got up halfway through and did housework, was not worth the $6.99 to rent.
