Raiders Reviews
Typical, drawn-out white man savoir plot. So unrealistic that its not even worth providing a more detailed critique. Thanks for reading this.
Vale apena assistir? Uhhhh se não tiver outra opção. Nota: 4
a very boring movie with a great cast
Too slow and boring.
Now and then I like to check out what's on video on demand, and Bruce Willis will always hold a place for me. A modest action/thriller that isn't worth promoting on an A-level sometimes can be more interesting than it looks. So, I decided to check this out. A series of well-coordinated and highly sophisticated bank robberies are setting up the FBI and police of the city to hunt down the criminals responsible. But beyond attempting to solve the crimes, there seems to be more than just money and violence as the motive but a far darker realization that the bank is a part of something worse that the bank robbers are trying to expose. This was something that caught my eye and, in the end, kept me glued to my seat. There is a plethora of great acting from Bruce Willis, Jonathan Schaech, Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista, etc, that truly deserve attention. The action/thriller was awesome, maybe not as inspiring as other movies but it was still a decent watch.
The ending ruined this film for me.
Pretty good movie. I did not buy the two-big-wrongs-make-a-right catalyst for reasonable men to adopt. Maybe that is why I had a hard time following the story, or maybe I'm not that bright.
Christopher Meloni makes it watchable, but you have seen it all before.
A total waste of time.
Complicated plot, B Willis is a no show, good movie before going to bed.
I suppose ‘Marauders' is trying to be one of those smart thrillers that's about more than just bank heists, but the reality is that it's a mess of a plot – worse than that, the mystery isn't particularly interesting -- punctuated by a few violent action scenes that are supposed to keep you interested. Even big name stars like Bruce Willis (who's really half-assing it here) and Dave Bautista have little of note to add; in fact, the only reason to watch this is getting to see Christopher Meloni out-act every single person on-screen by a gigantic mile, and that despite the fact that he's not given the most creative character to work with. Also, I just have to mention how incredibly stupid and nonsensical the ending is.
Marauders 2016(currently on Netflix but leaving soon) is a b-movie heist flick with a an above average cast. It manages to make this a watchable. They are not aiming for realism and it feels more like a modern day Mickey Spillane novel (which they should have leaned into by changing the time period to the 1940-50s). 3 Stars out of 5. Despite what the poster would have you believe, the main character is Christopher Meloni (of Law and Order fame).
Bruce Willis seems to make a lot of these types of things in between doing good movies. He spends about 15 minutes lending his name to an otherwise throwaway movie. I am not really a fan of heist flicks in any case, but this film is just awful. It has a gritty, not quite noir feel (always raining too). The cast all looks alike and it was hard to tell the characters apart, especially in the poor lighting. There is a convoluted plot that unwraps so slowly you really don't care when they are done. I got the feeling everyone did everything so the main characters could sit together drinking wine and trading lines before the smack down ('Heat', anyone? Another gosh-awful mess). There are a few interesting bank robber scenes, but not enough to sustain the film.
This is good to pass time just enough action to keep your interest
How can a movie start off so good and over the course of an two hours devolve into a god-awful mess that this B-movie morphed into? I was robbed.
This movie actually starts interesting and entertaining BUT to many key characters where the movie gets confusing at times. The ending is ridiculous. Worth a watch, just could of been better.
Started out feeling strong, new take on bank robberies. Strong cast, well shot. Plot tanked the film. Far too convoluted, difficult to track and/or care about. Meloni carried the film on his back.
Same old heist action thriller movie with some so so good cast but it's still not great yet it felt like a comedy sketch from SNL.
Not sure what even happened in this film. Who was who? What was the point? Good acting though
