I hated the last scene.

Majority of this movie; first couple acts or so, I was like "Buy it on blu-ray, one of the best films of the year", and then I get to the last act and I'm like "Wipe this away from my memory and baptize me." 🍀

Started off so strong. And I don't know what happened😅

Hurm. Kinda muddled messaging. More symbol than substance. So, why am I recommending? Because despite it's flaws, Garland is an intriguing director, and there is a movie in here, that keeps avoiding his grasp...that could have been special. And as frustrating as it is, I can't punish ambition.

It’s hard to go wrong with an A24 movie, and expect to be left with more questions at the end of this film than you had to begin with. Incredible performances by all of the actors, as well. It is certainly a movie of ideas, not action, so don’t expect a lot to happen in a narrative sense. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and will be unpacking its many themes for a while. My only critique is the pacing of the movie, which is just a hair slower than I would like. I also think the same story and ideas could have been expressed in a shorter film. But overall, that’s a minor complaint this movie is definitely worth checking out even though it’s not my favorite A24 or Alex Garland movie.

This film is wonderful and absolutely terrifying. Wasnt sure which way it was going to go from the start. The score is haunting and the message is one to discuss with someone after the film

A solid entry into the folk horror category. Ultimately a surface level take on the impact and trauma women face from a toxic relationship, and how it sticks with you. Not a terrible amount of character development, and it takes quite a while to get the bombastic ending - which btw is clear Garland started with the ending and wrote a story to get to that point.

Not scary. I left an hour and nine minutes in and was not creeped out, and had the theater to myself, so it was horrible...I give it a zero on the chill-o-meter.

The beginning of this movie was terrifying for me. I felt more scared and uncomfortable than I have in any other movie. Then it took a terrible turn and just sucked. Plus there was a character with a CGI face for seemingly no reason which really was an issue for me.

This movie was really slow and had an unsatisfactory ending. Substance was also lacking. Not worth paying movie theater prices.

It was awful idk there was no scary or on the edge of your seat thriller

The movie seemed like it was more about eliciting feelings than having an actual meaning/plot. Some of the scenes dragged on for too long and didn't really make any sense. A lot of things about the movie did not make sense.

This is not for everyone. Too brutal, too symbolistic, too creepy.
