Moonfall Reviews
The movie could have used more screen time to develop characters and make their fate more captivating.
This is probably the best worst movie I have ever seen. Its story and characters are horrible, but it is so enjoyable to watch and it had a lot of great visuals. Everyone who loves sci-fi should watch this movie, not because it's good, but because it is just really fun.
Some parts are good, like the acting of Sutherland, John Bradley, and Michael Pena. But Hally Berry's acting is so bad and non-credible that it ruins the film.
Wow, what an emozional ride. I found myself laughing at the utter lunacy of the plot after about 40 min. 10 min later I started getting angry that something so expensive, involving so many people could be so dumb. Then I started laughing again. And so I went back and forth, with some disbelief and confusion mixed in. I'm almost impressed by the willpower required to finish something that many have known to be a catastrophic effort. From the moon-sized plot holes to the very very bad dialogue and editing, this is a very expensive exhibit of how not to make a movie. It's a pity because the cast looks great and it would have been very easy not to make something so colossally bad. The only thing that was done with any skill here is the computer effects. Which is ironic in a movie about AI taking over the universe.
"I hope the moon will hold together..." As many have already written, this tops everything in terms of ridiculousness and silliness, and it is indeed difficult to say if it's just bad or bad enough to be (nearly) good again. It is kind of watchable though, a bit long, but cast and special effects are ok. The best thing they did was to cast John Bradley to lighten things up a bit.
Just something to watch....that's it
When I saw the swam of flys, I turned off the movie. I can't believe I own this movie.
Please stop making this trash. An utter embarrassment.
Another B-grade Netflix movie. Was actually a very interesting concept but was poorly written like most Netflix movies are. Not entertaining enough to keep my attention, had it running in the background while I did other things. Wouldn't watch again
Firstly I like "cheesy" movies and very rarely read the reviews of journalists because they always seem to look for some higher meaning and end up slating most of the movies I find enjoyable. Moonfall is one of those movies, leave your expectations at the door, grab the popcorn and sit down to watch a good action movie, some of the dialogue is a bit cliche'd and you pretty much know how it's going to end within the first 20 mins, but the acting is solid, John Bradley is good in this, Halle Berry is always dependable and Patrick Wilson delivers as the downtrodden Astronaut. So this is an enjoyable movie to watch with the family.
Elon jokes aged really poorly This is the most boring disaster movie with ridiculous cgi. Was a tough watch even with edibles
Not Realistic but fun to watch. The Special effects are very fun and Surprisingly good all in all Hope to see if they can make another one and Be a little better at it.I LIKED IT VERY MUCH
Ridiculous and dull. A real disaster.
Shockingly bad....daft plot...inane script...ridiculous characterisation...special effects lifted from Gravity...I could go on but you get the idea....a contender with Plan 9 from Outer Space for sheer awfulness
Watched moonfall twice now. I really enjoyed it
I would rather have Halle Berry moon me. First half disaster movie, second half science fiction movie. The script shamelessly steals from famous sci-fi movies. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and if you don't either, it's actually reasonably entertaining.
Stinking..beyond bad ,I would rather remove my own wisdom teeth via my own arsehole
Give me my sequel you cowards. Signed, Dr. Hausman
Amazing film to watch with friends
