Nope Reviews
Get out was one of my favourite films and US was decent as well, so when I see the collaboration of Daniel kalua and the same director for nope I went to the cinema expecting another good film only to be surprised by how poor this film was, the plot was poor and the film was so bland and slow throughout, I was waiting for something exciting to happen and the film to kick into life, but it was one of the worst films I have ever wasted my time watching. No imagination, no plot, no excitement and no ending. Please don't listen to people saying its imaginative and great, it was awful and youll waste your time on this trash. It was up there with a lot of wes andersons awful films like asteroid city and the life aquatic. Another baffling director who some people love even though he's made terrible films. My advice is stay clear of this trash..
A gigantic pretentious waste of 3 hours about the struggles of dealing with beasts that can't be tamed as a metaphor for fame and the fickle nature of each Great idea, unfortunely dragged down by odd artistic choices, such as to waste 45 minutes building up the worst motor cycle slide in the 21st century for absolutely no reason other than to be pretentious and reference something else, or talented actors have 5 minutes of screen time to be replaced by a side cast that is irrelevant at worst and annoying at best. Save yourself the time and NOPE away from this movie
Without a doubt the best horror movie I've ever seen The concept of the monster, the scary audio I absolutely love the open farmland fields perfect place for a giant flying monster Usually horror movies main protagonists are boring but I love the farmer siblings
Nope is another great horror movie by Jordan Peele. With great cinematography, story and acting. And at some points it can be quite funny. Which will make it a good experience.
Loved every second of this movie. Going in I was expecting a typical alien flick but what a surprise when I saw that it was anything but typical. Jordan Peele just gets it.
This is my family’s favorite alien movie of late; we saw it multiple times in the theatres. I count the days until the next Jordan Peele release. The pacing is similar to the original Alien, if you are that sort of sci-fi fan. It’s a slow burn with rich backstory and character insight.
too clunky, too many ideas not fully developed.
Jordan Peele has done it yet again. Disturbing, grisly but not Saw level grisly. Funny as hell and incredible performances by all the actors make for a solid entry into Peeles world of horrors.
Couldn't quite grasp the idea. Good tension building though.
The absurdity is overwhelming.
pretty good nothing else
I think in the audience’s attempt to seek out something “new”, “different” “one-of-kind” and “never before seen”, we fall right into the category of people Jordan Peele references all throughout this film. The slow drag and not so scary jump scare essence this movie lays out delivers a punch that sits heavy in the chest, and I love it!
This is the worst movie i have ever saw. I don't have words to describe how bad it is, i lost 2 hours of my life seeing this. I hope i can save someone to not waste their time watching this thing
one of the greatest films of all time. Jordan Peele should be given an infinite amount of money everytime he says he wants to make another movie.
Saw this on the basis of other reviews, and really wished I hadn't bothered. I totally accept that I may just have missed the point of this film, and others clearly loved it. For me, it tried to be too many things, part western? part sci-fi? part horror? part comedy? Usually I'm happy to watch movies that push the boundaries between genres, but this one just left me baffled. I persevered to the end thinking it would get better and that there would be a worthwhile payoff, but for me it didn't and there wasn't. Ho hum!
A fun twist on the space alien trope !
Culturally very rich movie and a lot of subtle references that are very niche to get. Jordan Peele never disappoints.
