Ocean's Thirteen Reviews
Oh dear buddies in a Buddy Movie. Egregious
One of my all time favs i love it and it has a sense of finality and satisfaction that i dont really get from the other ones
Better than ocean's 12 but not as good as ocean's 11.
Had to turn it off after 30 minutes. The setup was lazy, the heist plan was too ridiculous. Terrible acting from jagged characters. Just couldn’t do this again. Was on Channel 5.
There's enough praise for this movie already, so I'll just point out that even though it think it's better than Ocean's Eleven and my favorite of the series, this movie went overboard with the heisting and stopped being realistic. I don't really mind that, but the sudden change between the other movies and this one is noticable.
Total money grab, not well done
not the best way to end the series, but it was decent, another good contribution from Clooney, Pitt, Damon, Cheadle, Affleck, and the rest
Was torn between 4-4.5. The main issue is during the second half especially during the heist while this is edited solidly overall it does get really jumpy and hard to follow almost but NOWHERE near as bad as 12. While the revenge plot is simple and very much appreciated after the last one the extra twists that are added do make it feel a little convuluted as things go on and weigh the pacing down a bit but its still good. This never takes itself too serious either and is very light hearted the entire way which helps make it easier to look past the farfecthed moments. Mainly what powers this is the really good acting with solid lines, good humor at times, and a lot of charm/chemistry between everyone. The cinematography is really good also with great memorable locations, really good camerawork, and memorable scenes. Although there are farfetched moments like the parachuting double cross, and the FBI twist that I didn't really understand but it was still so well done I didn't mind it and could still follow it because the basic core plot wasn't convuluted. The music is really well done also. Yes this is very simliar to the first one but its very well done overall and keeps it simple enough that it really isn't that big a deal at all. If your a fan of any actors in this, heist movies, comedy/thriller hybrids, or the director than give this a watch. It's a comedy heist thriller classic.
Not as good as the first two in this tribology but still a very solid well-acted revenge heist movie.
Great movie! Personally i would say it's just as good as the first and even better. A really delightful experience after the let down of the second movie.
Implausible, over the top and at times utterly ridiculous. If you're watching the final Oceans episode for its gritty realism than you are in the wrong place. This is another purely for entertainment only instalment in the charade. Oceans Thirteen definitely works best if you have seen the two previous films because the character development shines through in this instalment. You understand the nuances that would not be at all evident having only seen this last one. I am not saying that character development is s strong point of these films. More, I am saying that there are in jokes that only work if you have been following these characters. Definitely worth a laugh of your time if you are in the mood for it.
Good movie and great cast
Fun people to watch, but plot just doesn't realistically line up.
With powerhouse performances in play, including the legendary Al Pacino as main villain Willy Bank, solid direction and some inventive elements, Ocean's Thirteen caps off ghe Ocean's trilogy in style and is in my opinion slightly superior to the original. My only gripes about the film is that certain characters just don't interests me and it still has some jumbled elements to it.
Ocean's 13 was head and shoulders above the previous film. It reverted back to the feel of the first film, which was needed. Rather than have multiple failed cons leading up to the final hustle, it stretched the final deal throughout. It was a little long for my taste in a heist film but everything had purpose. I enjoyed the film and hope to see another Ocean movie with the same cast in 10 years or so.
Ocean's Thirteen is a clever and fun heist movie, with amazing editing and writing. This sequel is definitely better than the second one in my opinion and just as good as the first.
Going back to Vegas with a simpler plot in tow, the Ocean's Trilogy concludes with the boys doing what they do best, which thankfully delivers the entertainment against a pretty cliché new antagonist.
LOL, the funniest 02 hours: and 02 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this film from the first time I saw it! Sure, it has the same elements as the first 2 but it is very entertaining. I love the cast. Each plays their role so well. Very cool plot. And the filmography, style and music are just fantastic!
This movie was enjoyable as the first two but it didn't have anything that may be remembered later on. It had all the elements that a crime drama entertainer should have. The story was simple and the performances by the cast members were also good. This movie was missing the originality in the story and the freshness. Overall, it was a good movie which I enjoyed watching.
