Paranormal Activity 3 Reviews
While I did find it more interesting than the first paranormal activity 3 suffers from being a bit boring but makes up for it's scares and suspense.
Hey sparkles, I was pretty scared by this film but not as much as id like to be. I took away a star because of that creepy ghost toley who kept creeping on those girls i really liked the the fact that they added the house from the marked ones in there and i was so shocked when that creepy man at the end was perving on the girls. The plot twist was crazy and i was very shook as i cant believe a grandmother could do that to her daughter son in law and grand children. Although the youngest girl was very creepy anf got on my nerves alot. Thanks for listening my little sparkles.
73% not the best characters is what ruined this for me good scares some of the scenes were interesting definitely the kitchen when everything fell and the ending was wow
"Paranormal Activity 3" does a great job at expanding the world but never really feels like anything too unique.
This is the best paranormal activity movie in the franchise for sure. I Ioved increasing of scare factors, suspense and dark mythology in this movie. I love acting and family dynamic was perfect. The last 15 minutes was scary as hell.
90% of the movie is watching people sleep on a camera while nothing happens. Slowest movie ever. Most boring movie ever.
'Paranormal Activity 3' directly links to the first two films in the franchise, but also serves as a prequel to the series as a whole. SYNOPSIS: 'In 1988, young sisters Katie and Kristi befriend an invisible entity called Toby, who resides in their home.' This film varies wildly in quality from slow and boring sections to some of the best practical effects seen across the entire franchise (so far). And because of this the film carries exactly the right amount of scares and horror. It sustains the horror of which we've seen in the first two films whilst building on the mythology of the demon 'Toby'. Unfortunately though I do have a complaint. As great as the ending is it leaves open so many plot holes and creates so many questions. How do we move from this film's conclusion to 'Paranormal Activity'? It's not explained and we'd need another film to get these answers. But based on the synopses of the rest of the franchise those answers aren't coming. For me that's really disappointing. The inter connectivity of the story is what has me hooked. A taut horror ride into a fantastic franchise. 7/10
Feels like they embraced the potential of the franchise here while still keeping it relatively simple. Most importantly it has some really effectively scary sequences.
The original story line is king and most entertaining.
Even worse than the first two. Awful. 2/5
Não é o melhor, mas é bem mais ou menos, conta a história deles antes dos primeiros filmes, e ele é bem entediante, mas o final, pelo amor de Deus, que final macabro e incrível.
Paranormal Activity 3 delivers inventive scares and an intriguing origin story, making it a worthy entry in the franchise, though some may find the slow build-up too long.
A fun premise like the original, interesting characters, and a good prequel. I enjoyed watching this just as much as the original, and much more than the second.
My favorite one out of the series. Goes back when they were little kids. This is how it all begin. Lots of hauntings going. This is how I wish the other 2 made before this one was.
The callbacks to the original are lame and the story even worse than part 2
weird how everything that happens to that family HAPPENS TO BE RECORDED but still a really good movie
A sequel that both added to the universe and retconned it at the same time.
Paranormal Activity 3 is a prequel to a prequel, much like Prometheus, and we all know how well that turned it. It's a perfect demonstration of the law of diminishing returns, with the formula already wearing painfully thin by the 3rd instalment. The first film was an interesting found footage flick that, while tedious at times, was a mostly effective homeset horror movie. The second film was a prequel that somewhat explained the events of the original, once again taking place in a haunted house. This entry is yet another prequel, set before the events of the second film, once again taking place in a house which is menaced by a mysterious presence. I guess if the series continues long enough we'll finally discover the reason that houses exist! PA 3 once again fails to capture the lightning in a bottle that the first one did, and is, if anything, even more boring than the second one. More things do happen, but the endless scenes of a camera panning back and forth between an empty kitchen and an empty living room quickly become insufferable, and while the ending is an attempt to do something different, it's still little more than an excuse to carry on a franchise that will likely always draw crowds, but will never manage to regain the appeal it once had.
By far the best paranormal activity. Part 1 and the marked ones are a close second. The marked was was unlike the rest, kinda like PA meets Chronicle, it's awesome, and this one is the creepiest.
The best in the franchise! The slow back n forth view the former fan macgyvered into an 80s automated ghost patrol lookout sets the mood for the origin story. This prequel is a top notch found footage film!
