Outstanding 80s Sci fi action movie with all time great actors!

This is a solid movie. It's like The Evil Dead: it's not a masterpiece, but it's good. Very good. It's entertaining at least. It's like a slasher film in a jungle with aliens. Let's begin. The actual story isn't really anything to phone home about, but it's good: a rescue team go to a jungle to save hostages, and there's an alien in the jungle that's hunting them for sport. It's a tense story that's done effectively, and Dutch slowly adapting to the situation and fighting the predator at the end is incredibly satisfying. The best part of the film, however, is the actual predator. It has a cool design, looking like a real animal, and it operates like an actual predator, slowly picking off the characters and when it takes the mask off, it looks as scary as you'd imagine it to be. Well, I think it's kind of cute, but I can see why people would find it scary. Overall, a great movie and great start to the franchise.

1980s "Toxic" Masculinity at it very finest! A MUST see!! This is a smart film. It starts off like an Action flick and then transitions to a horror movie and then into a Sci-Fi thriller. Truley one of the films that define the 1980s. This was Arnie at the beginning of his apex of his Hollywood prime. A Rock-Solid movie!

A great thrill arnold was creative to take down the predator

While this film lacks in script writing/dialogue it more than makes up for it in action sequences and effects. Definitely worth a watch.

One of my top 10 favorite movies of all time, this film functions well as a military adventure, or as a sci-fi thriller. An all-star cast, an exciting, tense, dynamic, and groundbreaking special effects all make this a classic that stands the test of time. Every young man growing up in the 80s wanted to be on Dutch’s Rescue team. Eminently reliable, I feel like and recommend to anyone. Don’t miss this movie that started at all!

You're not an 80s kid if you don't love this movie.

Still stands up today. One of the best sci fi's of all time. Yes the acting isn't great but the action is stand out very entertaining still, all these years later

The best 80's action movies has to offer. One of Arnold's best. This is as good as it gets. Watch it in 3D.

Arnold is in top form here. Terminator 1 and 2 might be better, but this is way better than the vast majority of his films. The plot utilizes Arnold's lack of dialogue skills to the max here - most of the movie is creepy foreboding and outright action. Really well done. And unlike a lot of movies, this film sticks the landing. Yeah, the CGI is a bit dated, but actually holds up pretty well, and the monster is really well done. It is over the top testosterone? Sure. But it isn't supposed to be The Notebook.

An incredible film balancing action and horror together so well, the story and characters while simple are not bad and prove to be very entertaining and dynamic in the Situation they Find themselves in. Also truly insane how nearly 40 years later the practical facts for the Predator still look great and so much better then the CGI of later films.

A kickass blend of action, sci-fi, and horror with so many classic one-liners, a great ensemble cast of action stars, and such a creative and chilling introduction to the iconic titular outer space predator.

Absolutely loved this movie.. plenty of action and entertainment. The fight scene at the end is so worth it.

Good stuff and different I think it’s a good piece of entertainment

Best movie ever, flawless and so macho it made hair grow on my chest. Arnie at the peak of his powers is pure screen magic and impossible to take your eyes off. The ensemble team are perfectly cast and the introduction of the female lead adds a perfect riposte to the male bravado. The special effects are rudimentary but still hold up remarkably well but tbh it’s Arnie that makes this what it is and it’s why the sequels could never measure up.
