I honestly had a good time with it. It's very funny and has good action.

This movie was way more entertaining than I anticipated. It clearly is supposed to be far-fetched and I laughed all the way through it (no, I wasn’t drinking or high!) Even the cheese was written and performed hilariously! I never saw Josh D. being able to do “funny” but he was perfectly matched with Jennifer who is impeccable in her comedic timing. Jennifer is to rom-coms what John McEnroe & André Agassi together (pulling from my era) are to tennis. In fact, each cast member was perfectly chosen for their parts and completely made the movie. To top it off, the film location was beautiful and now I’d like to go there. BRB, packing my bags.

I can’t wrap my head around why this movie didn’t do better. I thought it was absolutely hilarious from start to finish. Jennifer Coolidge doing what she does best, J Lo reminding us of her romcom height, and a fun premise (pirates plus wedding = a bloody fun time). As someone who got married recently, this movie became my go-to destress movie. If I judge this movie for what it’s supposed to be (an action comedy romance) they absolutely nailed it. Do yourself a favour, get some popcorn, a blanket, and enjoy people being silly and some gratuitous violence.

Cute rom-com, some cringe worthing seeming forcing bad line moments, but what I REALLY can't help but be bothered by: one scene Jlo has makeup on... next scene she doesnt... next scene she does.... Do better, you're putting this out for the world to see.

You know a rom com is bad when you don't even want the couple to end up together. Jennifer Coolidge and D'Arcy Carden are always on point, but they just can't save the ridiculous plot and unbelievable action.

It's a fun movie. Very entertaining

A forgettable film. Shotgun Wedding was trying to hard and comes out a very flat comedy/action movie. Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel are both charming here but this movie just doesn't fit their same energy. The movie breezes by but I found myself asking what was all of that for. It was pointless and a little of a knockoff of past comedies that did this storyline much better. If you enjoy Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy/action movies then you will probably enjoy this one. I just feel the creators here could have put a little more into this one to make it an overall better experience. Shotgun Wedding which is an Amazon movie gets a low 1 1/2 stars out of 5 from me.

Thought it would be good because Jennifer lopez was in it. Tried to watch the whole thing but every scene was so long and drawn out it was awful. Whoever wrote this should never be allowed to put a thought on paper again.

a really enjoyable fast action paced romcom. Jlo is mindblowingly beautifull and masterfully plays this role of overdramatic bride and Josh Duhamel is nothing more then adorable being the big doofus of the movie who actually becomes a reallife hero. The gags are hilarious, the puns are most intended and Jennifer Coolidge allways steals the show (certainly when acting with and against the other legend Cheech Marin)

Stopped movie just 35 minutes into it. We are fan of J-Lo but my goodness the writing and conversation exchanges amongst characters was absolutely brutal. It was like 10 year olds wrote it.

Shotgun Wedding is exactly the movie you expect it to be. Some of the jokes will make you smile, most will fall flat. The plot is decent, but full of boring moments. That's not to say this is a bad film. The acting is fine and it genuinely feels like the cast is having fun with the script. The story has an interesting twist and will keep your attention, for the most part. As an Amazon Prime original film, it is par for the course and feels similar to other streaming originals with a near cookie cutter movie watching experience. With nothing too innovative happening, you'll leave this film feeling as if you've already seen it a few too many times before.

I'm sure everyone making this film knew exactly what they were going for - some silly fun. It achieves that and it's not trying to be anything more.

It was a pleasant evening and I just wanted to watch a film which would provide me guilty pleasure hence I chose this film which ruined that perfect evening. I knew that this film wasn't going to be a masterpiece and all I was looking for was an average entertainer and this film disappointed me in that aspect completely. This film was a mess from the beginning like the longline wasn't interesting either- Terrorists hijack a wedding- and that's it.None of the characters or their motives made sense it was an utter waste. The lead pair had zero chemistry on screen which made the film even more unbearable. The humour is non existent for a film which was marketed as a comedy, I guess that was the joke maybe you require an advanced sense of humour to understand the comedy in this film. I gave one star for this film and that one star is for JLO she made the film watchable to some extent and well that's it. I'm conclusion stay away from this film for the sake of your own sanity.

Shotgun Wedding - 5.5/10. I'm a fan of Jason Moore's first film, Pitch Perfect. That was a perfect blend of comedic talents, excellent writing, and just an overall fun time. Shotgun Wedding however feels like a mish mash of a romcom and an action thriller, but not in the best way. It stars Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel in the leads, and they are decent in their respective roles. JLo is a queen of the romcom genre, and has had some really great movies in that genre. But this is not one of them. Things just seem to be happening here, and its not fun nor exciting. The comedy just doesn't land, and you have this escapism location which doesn't really do much for the overall plot. Its one of those movies you could just play to pass the time, but yeah, sadly, Shotgun Wedding doesn't have much to offer other than passing by 100 minutes of your life. An okay, but not great or bad watch!

It was a very entertaining movie to be fair.

This is a lot better than I expected, very re-watchable and engaging. Figured it would be as weak and forgettable as The Lost City, Ticket to Paradise, and Marry Me. But this has a solid plot all the way through, good chemistry and acting with the leads, good action, believable interactions, fun secondary characters that are well used - much better done on all of those elements than most movies of this type that are just regurgitating rom-com stars that are just there to show their famous faces and be celebrities on screen.

A good premise for a rom-com that is severely undermined by an awful script and painfully predictable over acting. It was gut wrenching to watch the whole movie.
