Some Kind of Beautiful Reviews
This film has no idea what it is meant to be. Lessons In Love would be an insult to storytelling if it managed to tell any kind of story.

Much like giving someone the same present for Christmas, Easter and their birthday, no matter how this rom-com is gift wrapped the resultant 99 minutes of your life will feel as hollow and wasted as receiving an empty box.

Regardless of the cliches or predictability, Some Kind of Beautiful is a fun, breezy, and upbeat offering that allows Brosnan the opportunity to put a shine on that charming accent of his.
| Original Score: 5/10 | Oct 25, 2018
Contrived and ridiculous, and that is before Malcolm McDowell, 72, turns up as 62-year-old Brosnan's father, but the ever charming former 007 offers some compensation as the silliness mounts.

Isn't funny or romantic in the least.

Some Kind of Beautiful is a movie that is clearly in trouble: you can see it in the editing, in the sudden appearance of minor characters with no real role to play.

I'm filing it under "guilty pleasure".

A film like this essentially suffers from what one might call like the domino clich effect. Once the first clich hits, it's impossible to stop the rest.

This rom-com ... is so hackneyed it might be more fun counting the cliches than cheering for its male lead, now stranded light years away from his former James Bond glow.
| Original Score: 2/5 | Apr 2, 2016
Rather than Pierce giving a lecture on how to be a better person, he should have stuck to bedding the half-sisters played by Jessica Alba and Salma Hayek.
| Original Score: 2/5 | Jan 2, 2016
Boring, contrived and witless.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Sep 28, 2015
Pierce Brosnan's recent career is not a thing of beauty. Yet again he has plumped for a mildly embarrassing, past-its-sell-by-date part.
| Original Score: 2/5 | Sep 24, 2015
One generation's silver fox is another's creepy old sex pest, and Pierce Brosnan doesn't have the comic chops, or even the facial expressions, to bridge the gap here.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Sep 24, 2015
We all like Brosnan and one is mortified to be ageist, but for this to have been even slightly romantic, funny or bearable the male lead -- and everyone else -- wanted to be much younger.

Maybe the script sounded like a good idea, but it's definately a bad execution. [Full review in Spanish]

The only good thing about this movie is Hayek's performance. She proves again she has good comedic timing. [Full review in Spanish]

Painfully cliched romcom is full of sex and profanity.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Sep 4, 2015
A romantic comedy full of poorly executed cliches of the genre. [Full review in Spanish]

Tom Vaughan's film never really takes off and given to a poor script, most scenes feel redundant and are barely watchable due to Brosnan and the rest of the cast's talent. [Full review in Spanish]
| Original Score: 1/5 | Sep 3, 2015
It's a misguided tale of redemption that's driven almost completely by coincidences without a hint of realistic grounding.
