Space Cadet Reviews
1h 51 min of my life wasted
This must be the most absurd movie of all time. It has a couple of short funny moments.
if you are willing to suspend your disbelief that an official NASA program would fail to do even the slightest amount of background check on our protagonists prior to admitting her, and allow her back onto the premises again after she is found out to be a fraud- it’s very fun! some friends and i genuinely laughed and chatted about the plot during the film so i’d recommend it for a group watch for sure :)
Poorly written. A large lack of humor.
The film veers into fantasy territory, particularly when a woman with no formal training in astronomy, who sees it as a mere hobby, is selected as one of the top five candidates. This is especially jarring considering she outperforms individuals who have dedicated their lives to academic pursuits in the field. The friend's character is particularly irritating, and the protagonist's lack of anger towards her is baffling. Rex's actions should have had more serious consequences, perhaps even leading to arrest, rather than a simple escort by security. While the film is intended as a light comedy, the level of unreality is excessive. The love interest character lacks charisma, reduced to a stereotypical "nerd" archetype who exists solely to fall in love with the protagonist. Finally, the Rex's interest in astronomy is portrayed as superficial, limited to hobbyist-level knowledge. The script could have benefited from more depth and nuance in her dialogue, exploring genuine passion and expertise rather than relying on easily accessible information.
This movie is an embarrassment. Hysterical acting, poor writing, truly inappropriate in so many ways…just yuck
Thank goodness for movies like this. Feel good comedies, light and sweet. Nothing profound here, and that is a good thing. Just a fun comedy, and actually it's got a great message. Being true to ourselves. Loved it!
What a joke. I expect someone doing this to act like an adult, not a 15 year old groupie. Not rooted in any reality that I'm aware of.
If you're a fan of streaming movies online, GlamCinema is a great site with a wide range of films. watch the any movie on https://glamcinema.com
this is awful there is no beating around the bush, don't watch if you value your time.
It's a total waste of time, they went too far in creating such a garbage of a movie. The cast is bad, the acting is deplorable, the set design sucks, the story is ridiculous as hell. If the idea was to embarrass, I congratulate them, they did it!
Space cadet is exactly what you would expect from this movie: an enjoyable, but predictable experience. Props to the photography team who did an outstanding job with the visuals
I love Emma Roberts, but her choice of movies is 50/50 at best. The suspension of belief was a big ask for the most part of the movie. In fact the plot device of getting accepted at NASA was a hard cell already. It was an okay movie, but Emma's pretty face helped soften the boredom.
It was a cute summer popcorn movie that was perfect for date night.
Not worth watching! Hated it! Waste of time!
One word "STUPID" ----poor script, poor acting, and show how NASA is filled with morons. WHAT MORON WROTE THIS STORY? This never shold have been produced.
Needs more jokes and more chemistry
It was merely just a cute movie. Nothing amazing.
**Spoiler Alert** I just watched this movie because Sebastian Yatra was in it. The whole plot is unrealistic, ridiculous, and absurd. It felt like it was stuck with bad glue. - **Can anyone just apply and get into a NASA program?** Don’t they check qualifications and evidence? - **Are there no legal punishments for fraud?** Where’s the legal consequence for a fraudulent person? - **Does NASA really lack expert engineers to solve mission challenges?** - **Can a person with a criminal record easily return to NASA?** How can someone with no education come back, solve problems, and go on a rescue mission without a team of engineers? No jail, no legal action!!!??? Come on. This movie is a general insult to a prestigious Agency like NASA. I know it’s a movie, but come on—show some respect to the audience. 👎
