Ted Reviews

With Family Guy-style jokes and references to Springfield, the humor, based on current topics such as homosexuality, sex, and other vices... permeates all elements of the film, from comedy to romance, suspense, action and comedy. [Full review in Spanish]

| Original Score: 8/10 | Mar 5, 2024

"Ted," while extremely funny in individual jokes here and there, suffers from that lame and predictable story, especially for something that advertises itself to be as daring.

| Original Score: 2/5 | Sep 4, 2023

Ted becomes a character that’s more than just a plot device or source of vulgar humor; he’s one of those oddly real characters brought to life by subtle and effective special FX.

| Original Score: 3/4 | Oct 4, 2022

Ten years after its release, films like Ted make one wonder what is it that we collectively saw in man-children on the screen.

| Original Score: 2/5 | Jun 29, 2022

It's just not funny. Not only is it not funny, it's unfunny.

| Mar 10, 2021

Ted gives us one of the greatest comedic characters - a lovable, foul-mouthed cuddly toy full of memorable one-liners who armed us with an arsenal of handy insults.

| Oct 27, 2020

Easily one of 2012's raunchiest studio releases to date.

| Original Score: 3.0/4.0 | Sep 25, 2020

A funny premise, executed, for the most part, well.

| Original Score: B | Jul 11, 2020

'Ted' is one of the funniest, craziest, most offensive comedies about immaturity I've seen this year. [Full review in Spanish]

| Original Score: 7/10 | Jun 25, 2020

The movie's ability to alternately shock and amuse with graphic, gross and genuinely hilarious gaggery is not to be underestimated.

| Original Score: 3/5 | Apr 21, 2020

Ted is funny, silly and very rude...so unless you're easily offended, watch it and revel in the laughter.

| Original Score: 4/5 | Dec 9, 2019

This foul-mouthed pot-smoking teddy bear was a whole lot of fun.

| Original Score: 4/5 | Aug 30, 2019

A bold, raucous comedy that takes no prisoners and shows no mercy, emerging as something both hilarious and yet strangely touching, sustaining its rollicking energy for its entire running time.

| Original Score: 3/4 | Jun 8, 2019

Wahlberg and MacFarlane deserve a lot of credit for making it work, especially Wahlberg, who approaches the role with a reckless comedic abandon, not afraid to be the butt of the joke.

| Apr 11, 2019

A perfectly enjoyable slice of contemporary comedy that manages to raise its head above the faecal pond of modern crude comedy.

| Original Score: 3/5 | Jan 31, 2019

MacFarlane's film debut is a winning combination of humor and heart, of crude jokes and genuine wit.

| Original Score: 8/10 | Oct 31, 2018

The greatest compliment I can pay Seth MacFarlane's Ted is that although this is essentially one of those slacker, stoner comedies, and such comedies aren't really my thing... this did make me laugh quite a bit.

| Sep 1, 2018

Like Family Guy, Ted's obsession with fame, celebrity and brainless sight gags means it's content being merely funny now but forgettable in the long term.

| Original Score: 3/5 | Feb 6, 2018

... the result is pretty hilarious. [Full review in Spanish]

| Original Score: 6.5/10 | Dec 12, 2017

MacFarlane shows himself to be a capable live action director.
