The Machine Reviews
Started watching it and quit after a few minutes. And I’m a Bert K fan, but still… Then I found myself with some time to kill and just wanted to watch something mindless. Well, I liked it. It’s not an Oscar movie, not even a good movie, but lots of silly laughs and jokes. I’m glad I gave it another chance.
It's Bert, it's fun, don't think about it too much. :)
🙂😐🤢🤮😖😠 my exact facial progression of this movie.
While we enjoyed the stand-up version of the story, the movie was difficult to get through, it just wasn't that funny. There are a few good moments, but the number of scenes that dragged, greatly outnumbered the scenes we enjoyed.
This movie I thought was one that Kevin James was the star of instead of Bert Kreischer. This is exactly the kind of movie that Kevin James would make, and I kept seeing him in the part. It was just a so-so movie in my opinion. maybe I should have given it a 4 instead of a 5. Kind of a toss-up. It was pretty predictable as far as plot goes and there were a few holes in the story, but overall passable.
I never knew who Bert Kreischer was, so I got a fresh take, and I loved his comedy, and the movie. And of course Mark Hamill is always great to see.
I really like the movie the plot was ok but I really love the twist they put on Bert's story especially when the character is retelling it. I think it was a smart way since Bert hasn't acted to do it this way so you can have a flash back and go back and forth. The throat punch was extremely disturbing lol but funny
It's ridiculous but watchable. I don't love Bert Kreischer but despite that the movie was entertaining enough for a night in w/ some truffles and a good friend.
I love Bert but not actor Bert. He’s terrible at it. I thought this movie was going to be his story of the actual trip with the younger him actor but of course Bert has to be the star himself haha. It has some good jokes and is worth a watch if you can’t decide what else to watch. Igor was the only top tier character.
Funny at times but super forgettable and it's a very repetitive script I feel as if I've already seen this movie several times and this time it wasent executed well. I loved Bert at first as a comedian but he's running off the road recently with his comedy and choice of work.
Sloppy, boring and a disgusting money grab by Burt. Save your money- don't even watch it or you can punch yourself in the face it has the same effect unfortunately.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like it an anxiety ridden sloppy drunk made a movie about his obnoxious self? Well you're in luck! Bert will give you an insight!
Never watched it and never will. Just seeing this guy live with some friends that wanted to go to his improv. He’s literally annoying, not funny at all, does the same damn bit you see all over Netflix and YouTube. Takes his shirt off, does his stupid laugh, calls his family on FaceTime, says his stupid ass story about the machine. Now they go on making a movie about it. How f* dumb lmao
What was this? Just about everything bad. Only nonsense, stay clear.
Fun movie. As for "the critics", they fail to understand that the audience /customer is always right. Critics as a group are grasping for the relavance they don't have in life. Ignore them and enjoy.
Really poor writing and worse acting.
As much as I am sick of Bert in everything from Roasts to podcasts, this movie was entertaining. Plot was there and his acting was not terrible.
What an entertaining watch! I completely disagree with many of the RT critics about this movie. As a person who didn't really know or follow Bert K, I am against the notion that only people who like him as a comic will have enjoyed the movie. The movie had well above-average acting from all of the cast and the plot kept me rather engaged. It does almost everything that you want to see in a comedy action movie. While the fight scenes and choreography aren't the best I've seen, the rest of the film more than makes up for it. Rotten Tomatoes is slowly but surely losing touch with reality when it comes to scoring and critiquing movies.
Entertaining from beginning to end. Bart Kerschner is not everyone’s cup of tea, but starring in his debut film, I thought he killed it.
Absolutely hilarious from start to finish, with some very well done action scenes.
