The Quiet One Reviews
If you're looking for a movie about the Rolling Stones, this isn't it. If, on the other hand, you're looking for a moving "Portrait of the Artist...", you've found it. This is a cleverly edited, moving look at the evolution of an artist and the effect of his experience on his outlook. His brief discussions about managing his personal life are fascinating in their ordinariness. Wyman's description about meeting his hero, Ray Charles, shows us that great artists are never satisfied with their own work and driven by a need to be better. Ultimately this is a story of a life in pursuit of artistic and personal excellence tempered by the humility of a man who assumes nothing great about himself.
Outstanding look into the life of Bill Wyman. Understated and moving. The scene when Bill talks about meeting Ray Charles is incredibly touching. Thank you Bill for giving us a glimpse into your archives..
If you are a Stones fan ... you must watch this film. To provide a fair and just review, it is not a 5 star movie BUT it is a fantastic view into personal memories and movie reel from one of the original Rolling Stones [Bill Wyman]. Very interesting watch... well worth your time investment.
Enjoyed learning about the Stones from one band member’s perspective. Respects the Stones’ legacy as well as their privacy. Any revelations are made by and about Wyman himself.
Epic film about a very intelligent man that was extremely focused and in now way could I ever guess Bill Was this iconic . I can't stop Listening to his music... damn ...
This movie is a must see for all Rolling Stones fans! Bill Wyman is an amazing bass player and I was fortunate enough to attend the Steel Wheels concert which was his last performance before he retired. This documentary was fantastic and it was very interesting to learn about "The Quiet One" I had no idea that he wasn't a bad boy like the other guys. So impressed with this film don't miss it!! Great music and story!Take your friends!
