The Santa Clause 2 Reviews
Bernard is an icon been hyperfixated on this movie for 3 months
A good sequel to the first film. However, the first one is the best in my opinion.
I still liked watching this move even though it was not better than the first movie. It has been 8 hours since Scott Calvin took up the role of Santa and he has been doing really good. He finds out that Charlie has been put on the naughty list for graffiti and Scott feels like he needs to go back to see his son. Bernard and Curtis alerts Santa that if he does not obtain a wife by Christmas Eve, he will no longer be Santa. Scott returns to the real word and is met with the prinicpal complaining about Charlies' behavior. Scott is going through a process called desantification and he is reverting back to his original self. Scott soons finds his one true love and it turned out to be the principal, and she agreed to become Mrs. Claus at the end of the movie. While Scott is back in the real world, Curtis had the idea to duplicate Santa in a toy version and this whole process goes terribly wrong. The fake Santa decides that all kids are bad in the world and that they all deserve coal. He captures the elves and was ready for takeoff to give coal to the entire world. Scott had help from the tooth fairy to get back to the North Pole since all of his magic was gone. Scott ended up stopping the toy Santa and manages to marry Carol who is played by Elizabeth Mitchell. Scott used the new reindeer in training to stop the toy Santa named Chet who was a baby. Scott becomes Santa again and finally saves Christmas with Charlie who he dropped off at home. Charlie goes to wake up Lucy who is played by Liliana Mumy and she always knew that Uncle Scott was Santa. At the end, Santa rides off into the moonlight to deliver presents and tells Chet to stay on course. Overall, I always enjoy watching these movies but this one was not better than the first The Santa Clause.
wow, the classic 1994 film having a 2002 sequel has become a must see. Really enjoyed the plot and writing of this movie. I was rooting for Saint Nick to find his Mrs. Clause. Enjoyed the other characters and Reindeer.
Worth watching if you have the compulsion to watch the entire series but I do think it’s the weakest in the series. Pretty boring plot and predictable with no real jeopardy that isn’t resolved in 2 minutes.
It's a cute movie, but the plot is just more difficult to follow than the original, the cast is less charming, and the whole ambiance is less welcoming and fun. I admire the return of the original cast, but their hearts just don't seem to be in it as much.
While the magic and warmth of Tim Allen's character still remains on point, the movie sacrifices moments of character growth for cartoonish and childish gags that might be fun for kids but doesn't work for me personally. C-
Not as good as the first movie. But not bad
Fun and entertaining without the angst of the custody battle in The Santa Claus.
In this sequel to The Santa Clause, Santa, played by Tim Allen, must find a Mrs. Claus by Christmas or he will stop being Santa. There is also a plot about his son Charlie being on the naughty list and the replacement Santa causing havoc at the North Pole. I like seeing the expansion of the lore from the first movie, especially the idea of the Council of Legendary Figures. But the three main plots were too much to handle as none of them have a satisfying ending. If they dropped one of them and expanded the other two this movie would have been better. As is, it is a decent sequel and may entertain those who really enjoyed the first movie.
The second movie of the "Santa Clause" serie lacks a bit of the spark of the first one, still it guarantees a great Christmas family time with nice comedy, good acting and a nice story. It is still though bringing, in the quite expected context of a feel good movie, originality with some of the plot and it is not ripetitive and trivial as one could expect a sequel to be Also in this occasion, the characters have a quite decent evolution through the movie and they are not dull. But the element of "Toy Santa" is actually a bit irritating in its own nature: probably intended, but still disturbing as one wouldn't want to have to face all these issues! A great way to spend Christmas together and have a nice time!
We really enjoyed it! It was about love and family. Everything a movie should have for a good Christmas.
Charming, but a bit too many subplots
Not as funny and definitely more cheesy than the first. But still a feel good holiday movie that I couldn't help smile through. (64%)
Slightly better then the first only because there was more characters that were pretty memorable and the set of North Pole was expanded by a lot
"Santa Clause 2" might have a plot as thin as ice, but oh boy, does it warm your heart like a crackling Yule log! Surprisingly better than its predecessor, this sequel oozes Christmas vibes from every snowy scene. Tim Allen sleighs it (pun intended) once again, bringing his quirky charm to the big red suit. Elizabeth Mitchell slides in effortlessly as Tim's love interest, their chemistry as delightful as a cup of cocoa on a chilly night. This movie's like a magical snow globe, charming and captivating. It wraps you in a cozy blanket of nostalgia and holiday cheer. While it might not make the annual "must-watch" list, it's a definite rewatch for those chilly December evenings. The "Mrs. Clause" plot adds depth and humor, making it a true family flick. So, grab some cookies, cuddle up, and let "Santa Clause 2" sprinkle its festive magic on you!
Scott Calvin owes me $61,595,360.00 in Egyptian pounds.
I remember my sisters and I saw it in the Adirondacks over 20 years ago Some might find some things painfully predictable and extremely boring But there's some really good romantic elements This was my first introduction to Elizabeth Mitchell Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell's chemistry is really believable and charming The subplot about the robotic Santa is very funny because it allows Allen to play dual roles as both good and evil Glad we see more of the North Pole too Stinks movie 3 fell flat on its face but this is a worthy follow up to the original
The Santa Clause 2 was a great Christmas movie and I do recommend it if you love the first one.
Very cute and charming.
