V/H/S/94 Reviews

Nov 11, 2024

Alright, let me get this clear right now. This is probably the best V/H/S movie so far which surpasses V/H/S/2 as my favorite. Every good aspect from the previous films (even Viral) is combined into this movie and I dig it. They somehow managed to combine the slow-paced and creepy aspects from the first V/H/S, the more creature-filled elements of the second one and the only little campy, fun and comedic parts in Viral into V/H/S/94 and I think it works out very well. The wraparound may be more like the first one but features a SWAT Team and way more interesting. The Rat Man is actually one of the really good segments of the franchise and also the rat man itself and the last kill of that segment is really cool. The funeral one feels like it's trying to be creepy like the first 2 films with some isolation and natural disaster parts make it very unnerving. The one with the subjects is very good and action-y. All the characters managed to be very interesting in this segment which is ironic since this was directed by someone involved in the production of Safe Haven. The last segment, Terror like some of the other films features some really douchebag characters but in an great and interesting way. The other side-plots of Terror and some cliche aspects throughout the segments kind of drag it down but other than that, it's the best V/H/S movie so far. 9/10.

Trying to immitate the 90s mood, but it's too obviously fake

Probably the worst of the series.

For me this is the standout of the franchise, so if you like ANY of the others you should definitely like this.

Se supone que es considerado la mejor de la franquicia, en lo personal, es una total decepción. Generalmente aburrida y poco cautivador, y con un concepto fuera de los segmentos muy desaprovechado.

A return to form for the franchise, V/H/S/94 is a truly remarkable comeback for the titular V/H/S anthology that's as nasty and brutal, as it is darkly funny.

Only first two episodes were great specially the empty wake. That one gave most of the story that could save the whole.

While I am a huge fan of the first two V/H/S films and a hater of the third film, this fourth film seems to be back to its general horror roots. There are some standout short films like the rat man and the humanoid robot. However, there were some I didn’t particularly enjoy as much, such as the guy in the casket and the redneck’s hunting vampires. Overall, this seems to be a good entry into the series, and I cannot wait to see what other horror directors do in future films.

Absolutely fantastic horror anthology movie. All the stories are quite watchable, some more than others. Some are chilling, some are gory as all hell, some are both. A must see for horror buffs who enjoy a quality set of inter-linked short stories.

2021's 'V/H/S 94' continues to take the 'VHS' franchise in completely the wrong direction. SYNOPSIS: 'A police S.W.A.T. team investigate a mysterious VHS tape and discover a sinister cult that has pre-recorded material which uncovers a nightmarish conspiracy.' Things can only get better? Nope. The only consistency within this film as is the stories within it are moderately ok, but nothing to make this film any better than its predecessor. Anthology movies are invariably hit and miss, and this fourth entry in the 'VHS' series is more of the latter than the former, though fans of this gritty B list horror will probably love it. But the lack of improvement means it's a big thumbs down from me. An opportunity missed. 5/10

All hail ratmaa ……..

Each segment of this anthology seemed to increase in runtime and decrease in quality. Totally down for a Raatma feature film though.

It’s definitely a film that’s worth a watch, it’s probably the best of the series in my opinion. Don’t take it too seriously, it’s not scary but it’s a good turn your brain off film.

I didn't like it at all, there were so many unessesary parts. And my neck hurts because the angle of the camera was so twisted in the entire movie...

Actors and directing were so bad, you just want them all to die! So that the credit scene shows up and you can finally leave. Sorry, I know it's harsh but it treats the viewer as if your IQ is negative. As such they feel entitled to rub such bad writing onto you. I was rooting for it to end, that's all I was rooting for. And then I skipped and wrote the director's name and made sure to keep on my list of things to never give it a chance to watch again. The end.

"V/H/S 94" delivers a moderately dark tone presence throughout the film. It executes an effective scenery with an overall remarkable budget usage, leading to this film placement being a nice installment to the franchise.

Absolutely terrifying, the 3rd tape was awful and out of place, aside from that, the other 3 had me ans my friend screaming, great imagery, great monsters loved the vibes.

[Insert snarls, grunts, and screams that suggest that this movie is fucking awesome in every way possible]

How has this got such good reviews. Out of the 5 stories only two of them were good so that's why I gave it a 2/5. If you want to save 100 mins of your life then don't watch this movie. If your still interested just watch the two stories Storm drain and terror for they were the only good ones. The only other credit I can give it is that it is gory as hell. I would not recommend.
