This movie is... interesting. There are a few things that are questionable, but not a bad clay film

Me gusto mucho el diseño de personajes a lo Burton y el estilo de animación cuadro por cuadro siempre es artísticamente hermoso. Lamentablemente lo visual es lo único bueno porque la historia, el mensaje, la música, las actuaciones y el ritmo no acompañaron para nada.

Wendell and Wild is a beautifully animated movie that tackles complex real life issues such as: trauma and how to heal from it, the school to prison pipeline, rehabilitation, and the importance of community.

When I first saw the trailer, I was really excited for this movie. Henry Selick has made two all-time animated classics with "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Coraline". Having him team up with Jordan Peele, sounds like a match made in heaven. Ironic comparison given the subject of the movie. The animation is very distinct. It catches you off guard at first, but you get used to it fairly quick. The movie has a lot of fun and unique characters and create a fascinating world. The characters, animation and moments of humor all work, where does it falter? The story simply has way too much going on. As the movie tries to juggle these different story points, characters make stupid decisions or unprovoked changes solely for the purpose of moving the story towards a conclusion. And I may have complimented a lot of the characters, but I will say that the villains in this are awful. They are the same old tired villain cliché we've seen a hundred times, with nothing clever or funny to make them stand out. I like the themes and morals the movie addresses, but just because I like the message, doesn't mean that I liked the way it was presented. It's a shame because there's a great movie in here, it just doesn't come to its full potential. A good film with just one too many demons holding it back.

This stop-motion animated horror comedy, directed by Henry Selick and co-written with Jordan Peele, follows two scheming demon brothers, Wendell and Wild, who enlist the aid of a 13-year-old girl to summon them to the Land of the Living. With a fantastic and marvelous cinematography and innovative stop-motion animation techniques, this film is both creative and enthralling, even if its plot leans toward simplicity. The story offers enough humor to give audiences a spooky good time, complemented by its inclusive characters. Although it sometimes feels a bit overstuffed with multiple storylines, it is largely a visual treat.

The graphics are very nice, and its great how they used the subject of death in such an open manner.. but the storyline is pretty bad and the characters are so inclusive (usually thats a good thing) but its a little to much ...

As a fan of Henry Selick’s films, I had high expectations for *Wendell & Wild*, especially with the brilliant casting of Key and Peele. Their chemistry added humor and charm, and the film’s creepy, gothic atmosphere was spot on. I appreciated the horror elements, which felt unique for an animated movie. However, despite these strong points, the story didn’t fully connect for me. I struggled to empathize with the lead character, which made it harder to get emotionally invested. While the overall plot had potential, it felt like a great concept that didn’t quite deliver in execution. I found myself wanting to like this film more than I ultimately did. It’s visually stunning, and the idea is there, but it lacked the captivating magic I’ve come to expect from Selick’s work. A solid film, but not as memorable as I had hoped. Three stars.

the beginning part of the movie was good. It did a good job of introducing the characters and setting up the story. What this movie lacks is a solid ending for the last 20-30 minutes you are just like what the hell is happening. This story had 2 endings that happened one right after the other that did not go together at all. For such a stacked this movie did not do justice to the actors other than James Hong, his character was really good.

Wendell and wild was an amazing stop motion, animated film because he’s the same Director. He directed the nightmare before Christmas and Coraline and my rating is a 10/10

I liked this movie! It was spooky and I really liked the representation. It may not be everyones cup of tea, but it sure is mine

It’s just not good. Tried watching it with the family and it’s a tough watch. Hard to follow and boring.

So sorry to disrespect the people behind this movie but I must say that this is in no way a good movie, it's extremely boring and barely has a plot worth paying attention to with an ending that comes out of nowhere. DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING LIKE HIS PREVIOUS WORK! This is not Coraline, James and the Giant Peach, or Nightmare Before Christmas. The only reason I gave it some stars is because easily this is one of the greatest stop motion I have seen in a movie that has no substance to care for

not that good movie i can't even remember anything

WENDELL & WILD is a weird one. It's a little too dark for typical kids' fare (more grim than spooky), with an angry protagonist who does experience real growth, but is generally unlikeable for most of the movie. The stop-motion style is visually interesting, but lends the entire film a herky-jerky rhythm worsened by the characters' wooden expressions, making it hard to get into or care about what's going on (and there's a lot going on). I love Key & Peele, Nightmare Before Christmas and Beetlejuice, so you'd think Wendell & Wild would be a slam dunk. But it's a bit of a dud.

How did this movie get made. I'm still confused.

While I love the animation style and art, the story and pacing of the movie was awful and disconnected. I first heard about this movie on social media and heard that the main protagonist was a POC girl with a lot of inspiration coming from Punk culture, which is what I grew up around. So, I gave it a chance. I was severely disappointed by the story and often got lost or confused. The movie had a lot of potential to be good but failed miserably with it's disconnected and underbaked plot and story. The only pros are the animation style and the reference to X-Ray Spex. Would not recommend.

It was good. I feel like it has some overall problems but its good for me. Unrelated, but my cat fell through my window while watching this movie

Não é a melhor animação, mas é linda, me lembrou muito Coraline, os personagens não são tão marcantes e o enredo é um pouco ruim, mas é uma boa animação.
