Where Is Kyra? Reviews
Um filme fabuloso. Pfeiffer deveria ter sido mais reconhecida por todos por esse filme. Ela teve uma de suas mais perfeitas atuações.
The ending is so depressingly inevitable, but that's the point. Pfeiffer is just so, so good here.
Pfeiffer's lost her mom, and her light in this movie. She's desperate for money and dresses as her mom to get $ and stay afloat. Not sure where the "hard hitting" drama comments come from - it's a flat plot.
I think it's scary to know that this is REAL in today's society and sad to know some people shamelessly will see this as an option to help their financial situation, GREAT MOVIE!
Drama that slowly unfolds to a climatic ending. Excellent acting by Michelle Pfeiffer.
I always like Michelle Pfeiifer but this movie was terribly dark and depressing. If you are looking for a movie to escape your depressing life this isn't it

If I could give this movie 0 stars I would. The whole movie pretty much was in the dark, very little lighting. The shots were also far away. The movie had no plot and was slow. Seriously one of the worst movies I have ever seen! Don't waste your time, the movie goes nowhere.
If you're a Michelle Pfeiffer or Keifer Sutherland fan, AND a David Lynch fan or appreciate art movies, I recommend "Where Is Kyra?" A tragedy akin to "Death of a Salesman" except updated to the present day, and for a divorced, middle-aged woman. Very interesting characters expertly portrayed by Pfeiffer and Sutherland. It's a little slow, with a lot of cinematic mood, so if you don't appreciate David Lynch type movies or "art" movies, you probably shouldn't see this. It had more pregnant pauses than I care for, but the thing that makes this movie so compelling is the characters. Some of the cinematography was quite beautiful. If you can stand sitting through some cinematic mood parts, it's an important, and timely story, a tragedy of our times. A very important movie about the times we live in.
Definitely not for everyone, but Pfeiffer and Sutherland are both superb here. However, the filmmakers really ask a lot of the audience, with many shots in virtual darkness and from a distance, terribly irritating music, and nearly a constant depressive tone. Still those two performances were worth the price of admission for me. Finally,at least the film has an appropriate ending and not a convoluted one like so many others today.
I really loved this movie! I recommend it to all! I live Michelle Pfeiffer in this movie. Great actress.
Awful cinematography, scenes are darkly lit, mostly silhouettes. Barely a story line. Acting was good but confounded by the lack of lighting to be able to even see the actors expressions.
The movie sucks the movie is mostly dark Lacking Lighting Throughout the movie . I guess they could not Afford Proper lighting in the movie . The Scene are shoot At a distance in the movie . I see why that movie last less then one month in movie theater. Gross less than 61,000 the movie
This film is a gritty portrait of how quickly a person can go from being okay to doing desperate things just to survive. Michelle Pfeiffer is phenomenal in this dark role. She and Kiefer Sutherland make a formidable acting team.
I didn't like this movie at all.. boring and pointless. One of the worst movies I have watched in a while.
