X-Men Origins: Wolverine Reviews
It started out okay, gradually got worse and I won’t even start with the CGI.
***SLIGHT SPOILERS*** X-Men Origins: Wolverine is sadly even worse than X-Men: The Last Stand. The dialogues are mostly terrible. There could be a few great themes and hints, but everything is pushed in the audience's face. The story is okay, generic, but there are cheap solutions to certain story elements throughout, which threw me out. It's also quite overstuffed, but I had no idea Deadpool would be in it, so that was a great surprise. Overall, the film is boring and predictable. I liked the ending though. The cinematography is very mixed, the action sequences didn't look good in my opinion, but the calm moments did. The editing is also very weird. The score is generic. The acting performances are mixed, Hugh Jackman is obviously good, but the others didn't convince me. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is boring, predictable and generic.
Yes, it's really bad. The story was bland and the characters (besides Wolverine) weren't that compelling. Obviously, the nail in the coffin for this movie was the depiction of Deadpool (or "The Deadpool" as he's referred to in the movie). However, this movie was kind of fun to watch, and I'd definitely put it in the category of 'it's so bad it's good'.
Amei demais esse filme, é sensacional, recomendo demais!😍💖📬✉️🎞🎥✌🌍
I didn't really enjoyed the movie. I think that the plot is all over the place. the only think that I can say was great about the movie is Hugh Jackman's performance.
This movie is incredibly underrated!! It is paced amazingly, and the story is gripping. I am a comic fan, so I already knew the story so it could be a biased opinion, but I absolutely loved this movie. It is one of the best Hugh Jackman Wolverine films. I can recommend this film any day of the week!
IT'S VERY UNDERRATED The Deadpool at the end tho smh
the 2 things i can't forgive this film for is the ugly CGI and the Deadpool in this movie. other than that, it's still entertaining. 5/10
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not the worst superhero movie I've ever seen. Actually, after having also recently re-watched the original X-Men trilogy I can say I enjoy this one more than some of those. X-MO:W is definitely riddled with flaws, but if regarded as a standalone movie within its own canon I think it can be judged less harshly. It's a good example of why immortal, or at least long-lived, characters are hard to portray in the live-action medium. Because the actor himself can't not age, if one were to watch the X-Men movies chronologically it would appear that Logan doesn't age a day through a fair chunk of American history, only to get younger in the original trilogy, and then suddenly age like normal in the later sequels. Also, speaking of inconsistencies, is Liev Schreiber's Sabertooth supposed to be the same character seen in the first X-Men movie? There is no resemblance whatsoever, made worse by the fact that the "original Sabertooth" was not and could not have been written with this prequel's character development in mind. Especially considering Logan was given a fine backstory in the original trilogy, one could argue that a whole movie dedicated to his backstory was unnecessary. Finally, there is the elephant in the room... Weapon XI is probably what killed this movie's momentum the most. If he was an original character made up for the movie I think history would have forgotten him; but calling him Deadpool and proceeding to do such a disservice to Deadpool's character was almost certainly irreconcilable for fans at the time. TL;DR: X-MO:W is enjoyable by itself, but only by itself.
Paint by numbers action movie. Nothing special. No real thought or effort put into the story. The acting is decent.
I don't understand the low ratings on this film. I love the origin story starting from childhood and progressing through historical events. The later Deadpool parts don't fit because of the Deadpool films. Though the multiverse clears that up. It's a solid Wolverine film and shouldn't be at the bottom of the ranking lists. I would love to see more Wolverine and Sabertooth in the future. This Sabertooth was well done. I recommend watching this film if you are a Wolverine fan.
With bunches of glaring plot holes, and a third act that isn’t on-par like the first half of the movie is, it made for a deteriorating sort of performance. Rather than focus on a team element, they focused on the man everyone knew and loved, Wolverine, played by the marvelous Hugh Jackman. As Liev Schreiber’s character, Sabretooth, descends into madness alongside his brother, and a marvelous cast of characters get dissected and pulled apart by the evil William Stryker, the movie starts off amazingly. But as it goes on it gets draining to watch and the plot becomes paper thin as their freedom gets nipped in the bud by the previous installments. An enjoyable, yet strained watch indeed.
Mid The deadpool looks like a dead dog
This movie shouldnt get any hate I love the whole movie accept the goofy AHH Deadpool design it's still very good but if you you told me this movie came out in 1997 I would believe you but 2009
Wildly underrated, if you ask me. While the story is cliche and this film holds the baggage of "Worst Deadpool Ever", the action's still well-shot and fast-paced, the music score is captivating, and Liev Schreiber still has the best on-screen Sabertooth.
"I like it but not a lot....I don't like it." - Gru, despicable me 3. This perfectly describes my feelings about this movie. It's just...meh. If you want the true wolverine movie, go watch Logan.
It was a good movie, it had a lot of boring and unnecessary scenes, but the endings were of very high quality and it was a good movie, the wolverine performance was quite good.
