boring. no acting. Just a bunch of women sitting in a barn talking.......

I really didn't know what to expect from this film. The subject alone had me nervous but it turned out to be a very interesting and intimate watch. The slow pace and exuberant amount of dialogue might be a negative to some but I thought it was really good.

Great acting and the storyline

probably done better as a stage show. it definitely was an entire movie of women talking--about if or how they should stand up for themselves, and where forgiveness falls in there. if there was a greater message, it was lost on me. nothing inspiring about costume/setting.

Exceptional storytelling. The script, the performances, the music and the editing all exceptionally directed to create a movie going experience that surpasses all the films I have seen in the past twelve months with the exception of All Quiet on the Western Front.

This film does not follow the stereotypical blockbuster format with a predictable climax and satisfying end. Rather, the entire film follows the conversations of a group of women whove endured abuse and oppression from the men in the colony.

It was good, but the script on the screen was confusing.

Script is very on the nose. Doesn't exactly challenge much thought. More like the writer preaching to her audience. Performances were good.

I thought the story was interesting but there was an awful lot of dialog.

Beautifully acted and produced. It's a difficult story to tell, but this film does it in such a way that many people who otherwise not be asked to think about the topic can't avoid it.
