You'll Never Find Me Reviews

This movie is a slow slow burn psychological horror. It creates tension well, but the movie just drags too long on some scenes. The ending wasn't my favorite and at times it was hard to make out what the actors were saying. Their accent was muffled. If I would have had subtitles, I may have liked it better. Heretic starring Hugh Grant, was a much better and thought out psychological horror movie in my opinion.

You'll Never Find Me' is a masterclass in psychological dread. A master of suspense director crafts a claustrophobic nightmare within a single trailer, amplified by a relentless storm. The sound design alone is a character, a symphony of howling wind and dripping dread. Two characters, subtly off, engage in a conversation that's a slow burn of unease, leaving you questioning everything. The film's strength lies in its realism, its ability to make the unsettling feel terrifyingly plausible. The ending? Let's just say it's a gut punch, perfectly executed. I called it early on, though, and the earring detail? Confirm ed it. To That sealed the deal. A testament to the film's meticulous construction. 'You'll Never Find Me' isn't just a thriller; it's an experience that lingers, a chilling reminder of the unease lurking beneath the surface. Expect a profound feeling of paranoia. A true suspense masterpiece. The only real downside was inherent limitations to the story. It's all set in the trailer and it's dialogue between two people. It's slow. Lol That's why I gave it the score that I did.

I fell asleep half a dozen times while trying to watch this - at least I'll know what to use if I ever have a bout of insomnia.

This is proper weekend horror. The story develops a little too slow at times but scattered clues and the dubious dialogues keeps the anxiety levels on check. Excellent effort with cinematography that signals the direction of the story. Plot twist was remarkable to conclude this reminiscence of horrors. Excellent visuals to take the audience in this maddening trip. Equally good audio effects that intensifies the sense of danger. Perfect work by Rock to portray the nullity of Patrick's mind and Cowan in portraying the transforming character of visitor. With a limited space of a camper the movie proves the unlimited potential of a well crafted psychological thriller.

Pretty tense thriller. Though a slow-burn type of movie, was very creepy and effective. Great use of sound, it amped up the tension.

Never listen to "professional" film critics. This film is rubbish. Australian film has really lost it's way, and this is no different..."mate"...

This had some good points but it was so drawn out and slow. The acting/directorial style was pretty irritating and what was considered a clever twist was guessable about 5 mins in because of the stilted, robotic and overly theatrical dialogue between the two main characters. It would have worked as a very interesting short film but simply didn't have enough to push through its 1.5 hour running time. I found myself fast forwarding through a lot of the dull long takes of a tap or a floor or a person staring into space.

Does a lot with a little - impressive work!

I was completely in and intrigued at the beginning but the nail dragging slow burn got the better of me and by the time the climax hit, I was disinterested, it took me a moment to figure it all out but I finally did by the end, not my favorite.

“You”ll Never Find Me” is like reading a book you wish you hadn’t started. It’s painfully slow, and seems to promise powerful exposition without ever fully delivering.

Slow burn horror that's set in one location and arguably the best I've seen of this style. The actors do an amazing job of creating an uneasy atmosphere at all times that kept me engaged and guessing, even with the incredibly hard challenge of keeping a 1 set movie interesting; Plus the great cinematography. I'm looking forward to more movies from this duo incredibly impressed. My favorite movie to come from Australian cinema.

Good movie, rubbish ending. It would have been better if it finished 10mins earlier.

I saw an influencer on social media rave about this movie…. i’ve since learned not to listen to the opinion of influencers. Although well filmed and well acted, the pacing is excruciatingly slow.

A fairly decent Aussie horror flick. I would have rated this higher but I was not overly fussed with the ending (no spoilers!). The film did such a great job in the first 3/4s to ramp up the dread and creepiness, led by great performances from the 2 main protagonists within the claustrophobic confines of a portable trailer in a trailer park. I was just hoping for something different in the final stages of the film, but I certainly wouldn't say the ending was rubbish... it did actually all make sense in the end. Well worth watching.

I liked the way this was filmed. At first I was thinking it might be too slow, but I was so curious about who this stranger was, who this man was and what was going to happen that there was no way I could stop. Near the end it got a little wild and confusing but overall I liked it. The actors were both great - I think any movie that has only two actors and one set is a big enough challenge. This was well done.

Ominously leans towards psychological thriller territory with a simplistic, little to no effect atmosphere to gravitate any significant chills without trapping immersion, leaving the performances to bolster the visitation with exceptional deliverance over the misdirecting screenplay being sympathetically edged. Was hoping for… idk what. The ending wasn’t very clear. Movie felt way longer than it was

It starts off okay, then drags on with way too much suspense. I didn't care for the ending either.

A tension-driving psychological horror masterpiece partnered with two incredible performances. It is criminal how underrated this film is.

It was okay. Didnt suck, but had too many scenes that dragged. The movie is only 1 hour 39 minutes, but felt much longer because of the slow scenes. Also, this is NOT horror. It is somewhat suspenseful, but nothing that should be considered horror. Hate when movies are given incorrect genre titles.
