Glory Reviews
This movie is so graphic and beyond stupid lol 😂
Still one of the best films, best on it's subject, fine acting from all, stellar performances from Freeman and Washington. The end just gets me every time, such a profoundly beautiful movie, gorgeous soundtrack too.
Not a bad movie, pretty good plot and a good cast but nothing special or amazing.
Great performances and story makes this a much watch. Tim Treakle
35 years later this movie still holds up and brings tears to my eyes. Amazing storytelling and performances.
Easily the best Civil War movie out there and a stunning performance from Denzel & Morgan. Epic.
This is probably the greatest Civil War movie. Amazing cast, direction, score. It's extremely powerful and will stay with you for a long time.
A good and touching war film
Action scenes were amazing characters were great movie was perfect
Possibly in my top 3 favorite movies of all time.
This is a good film. Denzel Washington and Matthew Broderick give great performances and the rest of the cast is strong. The battle scenes have aged quite well and still hold up today.
A powerful and well made Civil War epic with some great performances.
Awesome American film about brotherhood, people fighting for their freedom, and paying the ultimate price.
Love this movie! Plain and simple… there was so much to love
Solid, despite its problems.
Proves the rating system works as this great movie is scored appropriately.
Prepare to witness the glory of the 54th Massachusetts Voluntary Infantry, the first ever All African-American regiment! As a military commander attempts to make them into soldiers despite the obvious racial tension between the soldiers and commanding officers. Bloody, emotional triumphant and one of those films that reminds us what it means to be a true American!
Keeps you focused and interested. I would not dare to say that it is great since the character arcs and the interactions are not very vivid. What I can say that it could have been a greater movie.
The best Civil War Movie. Very realistic, gives one the feel of the 1860's. Great script, acting and score.
War movies aren't my favorite but I gave Glory a chance because it received excellent reviews - and you can't go wrong with Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman. After a slow start it began to pick up the pace and finally got into the meat of the story. It all went along as expected with more than enough marching and military drumming and American flags. Denzel Washington helped provide a much needed element of realism to an otherwise paint-by-number war story with drawn out battle scenes. I didn't see the "Glory" in this picture. I'd happily watch Oliver Stone's Platoon another 3 times because of its deeper character development and rising intensity.
