In 480 B.C. a state of war exists between Persia, led by King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Greece. Powerful, fast paced, great cinematography. The violence seems excessive but I bet the real thing was far worse. Memorable and exciting to watch, fairly straight forward, sort of "guts and glory". It really feels much shorter than it is in running time, which must be a good sign, right? Recommended

The film is 2 hours long but feels like only 5 minutes. Every moment is absolutely incredible, the action and effects are so immersive I feel like im there at Thermopylae. Leonidas' speeches are so motivating that I feel like joining the phalanx myself. If you haven't seen this movie, then your life hasn't even started.

It's amazing how some critics get it so wrong but the audience loved this film, by far one of the most action packed, larger than life characters, a film you can watch a film like a Spartan! For those who have never watched it, definitely worth it 👍
