Hit Man Reviews
You’ll spend a lot of time talking about the movie when it’s over. Talking about how stupid the plot is. How badly written the dialogue is. How absolutely infuriating the ending is. How you wish you had two hours of your life back. I have no earthly clue how this got 90%+ on Rotten Tomatoes - Netflix must have paid a lot of bots to write glowing reviews of this piece of garbage.
A light hearted rom com. Very watchable, if fairly predictable in it course and outcome. The outcome of the movie ultimately says "murder is alway wrong no mater the curcumstances.... unless you are sexy, then its fine"
Because of the reviews, I expected the movie to be a lot better. Plot went off the rails, but not in a good way.
Better than I thought it'd be. A good amount of humor with some unpredictable outcomes. Worth a watch.
Entertaining, the idea of posing as a hitman is a great story. The movie centers around a story manufactured for the film. Honestly I think the story closer to reality is more interesting. That said, an excuse to add Adria Arjona and her character can't be a bad choice. The drama with the other cop feels like a stretch. And turning the characters morally grey because they 'must' do something about the situation left me feeling less connected to the characters. In the end a fine entertainment, but not anything to rush to watch. Plus Glen Powell is just too smug looking all the time.
Slow and steady. Rating: 6.8/10
Was too slow for it's own good. Glenn Powl was charming as always, but it just kind of fizzled out.
if you dont find glen powell charming, this movie is a waste of time. inconsequential, unfunny, plotless, and gratuitous.
reasonable movie, do not regret watching it
Disappointed in the ending.
From a true story. Somewhat cheezy, but still ok.
This is a great movie for when you’re trying to not watch a good movie…otherwise not for me
So unhinged. They truly matched each other's freak at the end of the day. This should have been marketed as a romcom
Good acting, good comedic timing, great story, directing is solid too. For me, this movie is perfect.
A very enjoyable romcom.
A fun and entertaining movie. Very enjoyable and would make a great series.
Just as much as Powell’s characterized embrace, and supposedly the drifting focus that can be looked at as a factored injection to the overarching dive, there’s effortless charisma in the brilliantly delivered speculation of a factual subject. (B+)
Powell is the cornerstone of this film, without him it wouldn't quite work or be as fun. You definitely watch it for him. CONTINUE READING ON LETTERBOXD: https://boxd.it/8zUsHj
I gave it half a star, cause i cant give less. The moral of the story is, that not only the plot is predictable and random, no it suggerates that its easy pease to kill people and get away with it. The guy didnt do his frickin' job and didnt even call her out, no he joined her random act of killing people. And the fact that the normal guy from the beginning suddenly starts killing a "friend" cop with a random madhead girl he knew for a month or so is just insanity for me. Also the "happy" ending is just unsatisfying.
Very fun and entertaining movie! I loved it!
