A very funny spin on the zombie movie genre by having the main characters distract a group of kindergarteners from realizing there even is a Zombie invasion going on at all. It creates a really funny contrast where you have these cute wholesome kids screwing around and suddenly all this carnage is going on the in the distant background. The action and slapstick is very well done and the performances are hilarious (Lupita Nyong’o is giving it her all and Josh Gad is clearly having fun playing out-of-character as an asshole who hates kids). My main issue is with the main protagonist. He gets better for the second half of the movie, but he's so goddammit unlikable in the first third, it's borderline unwatchable with him onscreen. Luckily, he gets a lot better for the rest of the runtime, and this change was all clearly intentional. I just think they went too far with it early on and it makes that section of the movie hard to rewatch. But luckily the other two thirds are so great that it easily makes up for it (that kid running around like Darth Vader was the best part). It's a surprisingly wholesome rated-R zombie flick, and a hidden gem amongst the stacked year of great films from 2019.

A funny comedy horror movie about a zombie outbreak in Australia. Great cast and great action with a lot of funny plot twists. A great Saturday night movie watch.

The emotional rote wasn't a good fit for this movie but the comedic side brought it from a 2 to a 4.5. Would highly recommend 👌

The best Zombie movie ever

Little Monsters is just another zombies comedy, besides the awesome performance of Lupita Nyong'o there's nothing that really stands out, it should come as no surprise since the genre is oversaturated with this kind of flicks. Directed by Abe Forsythe (whose work I'm not really familiar with) and released as a Hulu original I guess it's an ok work for the demographic the platform is aimed at, I just wish it wasn't so gory, with the kids being a central piece of the movie I think it could be a goofy comedy to enjoy with the family. The swearing doesn't help either. All in all Little Monsters has good quality for a non-theatrical release, I would qualify it as exactly average, definitely not a movie I would watch more than once.

It was surprisingly good. I didn't expect much from it but it actually kept me into the movie!

Entertainment for children. I wish I could take the time I spent watching it back.

Absolutely fantastic movie. Lupita Nyong'o is incredible in pretty much everything she's in & this movie really showcases so many sides to her acting. I loved it.

Completely indecisive plot, unclear who the film was supposed to be for, incredibly bad gags, and cruel directorial choices. The actors were also let down. The leading actress gets the most out of the stupid script. For that at least, hats off.

A few good laughs throughout and a movie thay doesn't take it's self too seriously. Entertaining

Genuinely cute and charming movie

I don't know how to describe that, but .. It is like an iced cup of strawberry juice, which has a bright red color and looks delicious, but when you taste it you find it tastes water. I liked the building of the characters in the first twenty minutes, the colors that harmonized with each other, and the makeup of the zombie was classic, which gives them a good look that we haven't seen in a while, but the rest? I don't know why they originally linked the story with zombies, the film carries good meanings, but in general I wasn't upset with my viewing experience.
