What a gorgeous roaming epic of young love, trauma, and finding meaning. The age gap is certainly an ick, but unfortunately, Japanese media generally does not seem to share my disgust.

Creative and fascinating plot, very well executed leaving you uncertain right until the very end.

Was dying to see this movie come back to theaters and was surprised by the amazing story line and hard not to be emotional throughout the film! Great movie and definitely recommend for everyone to see!

Excellent! Makoto Shinkai is a brilliant filmmaker and storyteller. The emotional vulnerability and relatability of his characters are as entrancing as his breathtaking animation, This movie felt at times like a direct homage to Miyazaki/ Studio Ghibli, with both subtle and obvious tropes/symbolism. Very on par with his previous films and yet its own unique adventure. 9.5/10. Would recommend!

I have only one complaint and thats that their relationship was suspicious given their age difference. But the animation super good and I did like the story.

I was expecting a chill slice-of-life like Your Name. I apparently didn't pay attention to the trailer, as this is action oriented. Though I guess shojo-flavored. The surround sound was really good while watching in the theatres, I thought there were people walking behind me at one point.

Wonderful story about the spiritual, mankind and nature. The animation is top notch. A must see.
