One of my favorite horror movie of 2023!

Good horror movie! I really recommend watching this

could Have been better, worth 1 watch but never again

I felt like it was all over the place

Powerful horror that, step by step, leads the viewer into an amazing miasma of folk horror, whether created from a real belief system or generated by the mind of the writer. It's a wonderful movie to dissect afterwards. Not everyone will experience it the same way. There's an underlying theme dealing with the way male toxicity often gets in the way of what should be done.

This one of the best horror films I’ve seen. The story moved quickly and is full of haunting surprises! Must see for horror fans!

...a scary movie with a message

This one left us with a really eerie feeling walking out the theater. Tried to look up the Latino folklore it was based on but had no success. Felt very authentic but also felt under informed and felt like reading the backstory to this folklore would help the movie make more sense to us. Still creeped us out so definitely deserving of a good review, however a little more backstory would’ve made this a great scary movie. Worth a watch!

Don’t usually write reviews, but this movie was so good I felt I needed to! Incredible acting, insane suspense, perfect pacing - all added up to a gory and unique film

The entire film is in Spanish, with white English subtitles at the bottom. The movie wasted no time by creating chaos from the start. Strong ties to folklore, which I related to. It was scary, gory, and had a fair amount of violence. A good movie, with enough action to keep you engaged till the very end. I would recommend seeing this movie for anyone looking for a solid horror flick. I only wished it were in English.

Probably the best horror film of the Samhain season, if not the year. Damien somehow deconstructs, reinvents and breathes fresh air into otherwise tired genre elements, bleeding with emotionally visceral impact along the way (gotta luv the dog/daughter scene, hee hee). For hardcore genre fans only, this movies no joke.

Awesome film. Unrelenting in its brutality. Best horror film of 2023 in my opinion!
