G20 Reviews
BEST Movie ever...I love it!!
(ENGLISH) There are movies that show their cards from the very start, and G20 is one of them. Entertaining, straight to the point, and with that 90s vibe that hits just right when all you want is to unwind and have a good time. Viola Davis owns the screen from the first scene, carrying the weight of the story with such confidence that she often makes you forget how basic the script actually is. The plot isn’t exactly groundbreaking: a surprise attack during an international summit, and a president who turns into an action hero. It sounds over the top—because it is—but it works within the tone the movie sets. If you don’t take it too seriously, it’s easy to enjoy the well-timed tension and the more explosive sequences. Anthony Starr, meanwhile, confirms that villains are his new thing. Ever since The Boys, he seems to have found his sweet spot as the deeply unsettling guy, and he doesn’t disappoint here. It’s fun watching him go all in, even if the character is painted with a broad brush. This isn’t a film that’s going to reinvent the genre—and it doesn’t try to. G20 delivers pure, straightforward entertainment, with flashy action scenes, steady pacing, and a leading lady who elevates everything she touches. Perfect for a no-pressure movie night when you’re in the mood to watch Davis kick some serious ass.
This movie definitely delivered all the high octane vibes & a great family movie!!! Enjoyed everything about it.
This movie is everything we’ve been needing as women. I notice the negative comments come mostly from men because it’s threatening the need for their “masculinity and leadership.” (Another reason we’d choose the bear) if you know, you know. You go Glen Cocoa! (PS at least they can’t deny Viola is what kept it alive with her undeniable and diverse talents)
Amazing story and if you love action there's plenty of it! The twists and turns are so cool. Must see!
Anthony Star was brilliant. Apart from him though this movie is straight up unwatchable, we predicted the entire plot aswell as the double crosses within the first 15 minutes. This movie was a 10/10 hard to watch. Felt like I was watching a high-school re-creation of Die-hard
Viola Davis need to make more movies like this. To Me she a incredible actor.
A much needed, uplifting film on politics. In the wake of the absurdly good, seemingly omniscient dark drama Civil War, and in light of our current political situation, we need this. Is it the greatest film ever? No. It has some very typical and predictable tropes, but the standout performance by Viola Davis, along with strong co-stars, the film has just enough story to keep things interesting. What it lacks for in some aspects of originality, it certainly makes up for in others. This is good mainstream filmmaking. If you are in the mode for a “Badass Black Woman Saves the World” action movie, you’ll walk away happy. More discerning genre fans may be disappointed, but I wasn’t.
Incredible most watch
This movie was absolutely amazing! It was so action-packed and full of suspense from start to finish. Every scene kept me on the edge of my seat — the pacing was relentless in the best way possible. The action sequences were incredibly well choreographed, and the cinematography added an intense, cinematic quality that elevated the whole experience. Viola Davis delivered a powerhouse performance, bringing depth, strength, and charisma to every scene. She was captivating to watch and carried the film with grace and grit. What stood out most was how the film balanced thrilling moments with emotional beats — it wasn’t just explosions and stunts, but a gripping story that had real stakes. To top it all off, there were just the right touches of humor woven in, giving the audience a few moments to breathe and even laugh, without ever taking away from the intensity of the plot. G20 is the kind of movie you want to see in a packed theater, where the tension and adrenaline are shared with everyone around you. Easily one of the best action thrillers I’ve seen in a long time — I’d watch it again in a heartbeat!
Really enjoyed it. Reminded me of a Die Hard movie
Very lazy writing and directing on what could have been a spectacular picture. It was like watching the GOT season 8 disaster - incredibly lazy thinking.
It’s really like that old movie…..if looks could kill, weird movie all in all
It’s not a bad show, I really enjoyed it. But, it all just didn’t feel real. The crying, the anxiousness it wasn’t it for me . The little of the show I loved was Danielle and her family because I’ve seen them in. Shows like blackish and woman king.
1 Star for Anthony Star, one half star for the movie. How bad was this.
Ridiculous acting. Ridiculous scenes. Ridiculous everything. Every single scene is another impossible thing that would never happen. 70 year old politicians are apparently stronger and smarter at military tactics than trained mercenaries.
I can’t believe how stupid this movie was. Spoiler but the terrorist is trying to rip off the world’s most powerful nations. Where does he think he’s going to live with $120 billion dollars where China, USA and half of Europe can’t find him? In one scene they walk right behind the terrorist they could have easily killed with their guns and instead come up with this elaborate plan to electrocute him while she points a gun at the other one and tells him to drop his weapon. He doesn’t of course and ends up getting her gun which leads to a ridiculous fight where she smashes him in the head repeatedly with a cast iron skillet, shoots him in the foot and burns his head on the oven, he wakes up immediately and grabs a gun but thankfully one of the hostages is a ninja and throws a knife across the room killing him. At what point do people on film sets say “really? We are gonna just go with this huh?” Dont watch this movie, Viola Davis is great but enough to make this movie work. Go watch her in the Woman King, that’s a great movie.
Filme sem alma. Motivação do vilão é horrível. Quem é John Wick perto da presidente dos Estados Unidos ?
Very entertaining and an easy watch. Yes it resembles Die Hard, so what!
Wow. How did even get made? It's not even funny bad. Just woke nonsense. .
